Emergency financial assistance is available APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS to help you with mortgage and/or utility *First Come First Served* payments if your income has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 DOCUMENT CHECKLIST: The following supporting items are pandemic. You may be eligible for up to six required before your application can be approved for months consecutive emergency assistance: Completed application mortgage/utility assistance. Completed and signed (ShelterNet) Release of Information No direct payment assistance to Self-Declaration of Income Form individuals. DOCUMENT ALL INCOME Types of Income Documentation Payments will be made by Charleston o Paystubs from April 1, 2020 to the present date from County directly to the mortgage holder employers for each working member of the household o Current Social Security and/or Social Security Disability and/or utility company. Letter (if applicable) This program is made available through o Unemployment portal screenshot from the SC Dept. of Employment workforce showing how much Charleston County Community unemployment you have received due to COVID-19 Development Department by HUD CDBG- o Child Support CV CARES Act funding. Proof of financial hardship or increased expenses related to the pandemic (Example: termination or reduction in hours letter from employer due to pandemic, unemployment, limited resources, increased expenses, etc.) IMPORTANT: Most recent mortgage statement Signed letter (including mortgage account number and property Monitor your email for any messages from address) stating that you give Community Development Charleston County Community permission to speak to your Lender about your account Development Customer Representative.
