Foreword
Foreword
Congratulations on choosing a Toyota truck. It is designed to make your work
more efficient, simple and safe. Before you start using the modified truck, it is
very important that you learn how to handle the truck in a safe way, by care-
fully reading and understanding the contents of this manual. You must also
meet the requirements for training and local approval before you can operate
the truck.
This manual contains information about safety regulations, how you should
work with the truck and how to keep the truck in a safe condition by following
daily service routines. For recurrent maintenance, our quality oriented service
organisation is at your disposal, in order to secure a high availability for a long
time to come.
To make the content available, the manual must always be kept with the
truck. A copy of the manual can be ordered as a spare part.
Contact your local supplier for information about spare parts that are specific
to your truck model.
We are constantly working to develop our products, and we therefore reserve
the right to make changes. Therefore, no claims can be made due to the con-
tents of the Operator Manual. If anything is unclear or if you have any other
questions, you are always welcome to contact your local supplier.

1 About this operator manual

1.1 Introduction
The manual contain warnings and instructions for avoiding incidents or acci-
dents. Make sure to follow these precautions. It is also your responsibility to
be aware of this and follow local safety regulations. If the instructions in this
manual in any way should differ from these regulations, the local regulations
should be followed.
▷ Make sure that safety equipment, protections and safety switches works
before you use the truck. Safety equipment may not be turned off or re-
moved.
▷ Make sure that the information plates on the truck are readable. Learn
the meaning of information and type plates, see Warning and informa-
tion plates and symbols, page 17.
▷ Perform daily checks according to the procedures in Working with the
truck, page 38. Make sure that the maintenance is performed according
to the directions in Periodic maintenance, page 61 in Maintenance,
page 60.
1.2 Concepts
Below are described some of the concepts found in the operator manual. We
would like to point out that there may be other meanings for these concepts in
other contexts, but they are defined as follows in this operator manual.
User
A user is the natural or legal person responsible for the truck. Users may
be using the trucks themselves or may give somebody else (e.g. driver/
operator) the job of handling the truck. In certain cases, e.g. rental, it is
the user that is responsible for the truck according to a valid contract
between the owner and the person handling the truck.
Driver/operator
The driver is the person that actually drives and handles the truck. An
operator is the person that handles an automatic truck or other machine.
Service technician
A person that is trained to perform service and maintenance to the truck.

The following three warning levels and symbols are used in the manual:
DANGER
Indicates a dangerous situation that – if not avoided – will cause death or
serious bodily injury.
WARNING
Indicates a dangerous situation that – if not avoided – could possibly
cause death or serious bodily injury.
Note:
Used in connection with actions that can cause material damage but not
bodily injury.

2 Safe use
2.1 User responsibility
It is the user's responsibility to ensure that;
▷ everybody that handles the truck has read and understood this manual
and has been approved at the appropriate truck operator training.
▷ the truck is handled in a safe manner in order not to be a threat to other
people's live and health.
▷ all warnings and directions in this manual are observed.
▷ the manual is available to the driver/operator.
▷ maintenance and service is performed according to the intervals de-
scribed in section Periodic maintenance, page 61.
2.1.1 Login in connection with delivery
2.1.1.1 Truck with PIN code
During delivery, the truck has a four-digit transport code indicated by a trans-
port sticker on the keypad.
▷ Enter the PIN code given on the transport sticker, finish by pressing the
green button (I) to start the truck.
Do as follows when the truck is delivered:

▷ Check that the truck is switched off. Remove and destroy the transport
sticker.
▷ Contact a service technician to change the PIN code.
WARNING Unauthorised driving
Unauthorized persons may get access to the truck since the transport
code is not a unique number.
► Change the transport code to a new number once the truck has
been delivered.

2.1.1.2 Truck with card reader - Smart Access (option)
Trucks that use card readers are supplied with a transport card.
▷ To start the truck, hold the card up against the card reader, and press
the green button (I) when the green light flashes.
A flashing green light confirms the validity of the card. If the red light is
lit, the card is not valid.
Do as follows when the truck is delivered:

▷ Remove and destroy the transport card.
Unauthorized persons can use the truck if the transport card remains in
place.
► Never let the transport card go with the truck after it has been de-
livered.
2.2 Operator's responsibility

▷ Before you start using the truck, you must have been trained in it's use.
Your local representative for Toyota has several suitable courses on of-
fer. Also make sure that you have a local permit to drive the truck.
▷ Always make sure to find out the specifications of your specific truck be-
fore you start using it. The truck may have optional features and activ-
ated/deactivated help systems which must be known to you before using
the truck.
▷ Follow local safety regulations and instructions for safety equipment.
▷ Always wear safety shoes when working with the truck.
▷ Do not move or allow other people to move under raised forks.
▷ Never use any load support as a step.
▷ Never use the truck if it is damaged or has errors that affect the safety or
safe use. Any repair must be performed by suitably trained staff.
▷ Accidents that have caused personal injury or material damage must be
reported to your work manager. Check the truck functions before it is
used again, see Checks before use, page 38.

2.3 Operating and conduct while operating

▷ Always operate the truck from the regular operator's station.
▷ Never drive with any part of your body outside of the truck.
▷ Never drive the truck with oily hands or oily shoes.
▷ Never wear loose items or jewellery when working with the truck.
▷ Always drive the truck in a responsible manner and with full control.
▷ Avoid sudden starting and braking, and turning at high speed.
▷ Be attentive about other personnel and other trucks, as well as protrud-
ing parts from racking, shelves, walls and ceilings. Be prepared to stop!
▷ Sound the horn when overtaking and to warn other personnel.
▷ Never let a passenger ride on the truck.
▷ Drive the truck with reduced speed on inclined floors. Drive straight up or
down the incline. It is not allowed to turn the truck on the inclined floor.
An unloaded truck must be driven with the forks pointing down the slope
and a loaded truck must be driven with the forks pointing up the slope.
▷ Drive with the load behind, if it obscures the visibility, or let someone dir-
ect you.
▷ Reduce speed when the line of vision is limited and when pedestrians or
other vehicles can be encountered.
▷ Reduce the speed if the floor is slippery to avoid the truck skidding or tip-
ping over.
▷ Keep a safe distance from all vehicles ahead.
▷ Always give way to a loaded truck at junctions and in confined aisles.
▷ Always keep a safe distance from the edges of loading bays and loading
ramps.
▷ Be attentive to indicated risk areas.
▷ Before the truck is driven on to a loading ramp ensure that the ramp is
correctly secured and has the necessary load bearing capacity. Drive
slowly and carefully across the ramp keeping a safe distance to the
edge.

▷ Before you drive the truck on board another vehicle, you must make
sure that the other vehicle is steady and its breaks are safely applied.
▷ Before you drive into an elevator you must first ensure that the elevator
is approved for the total weight (of the truck, the load and the weight of
the operator). Drive in with the load first. Do not allow other people to be
inside the elevator.
▷ Always drive with the forks in the lowered position, or as low as a load
on the support arms will allow, except when collecting or leaving a load.
2.4 Handling loads

▷ Only handle loads that are within the allowed lift capacity of the truck,
according to the truck capacity plate.
▷ The length/width of the forks should be adapted to the load’s shape and
dimensions.
▷ Only handle loads that are stable and securely arranged.
▷ Handle long and tall loads with special care.
▷ Place the centre of balance of the load as close as possible to the
centreline of the truck.
2.5 Parking the truck

▷ Use indicated parking space if such exist.
▷ Always park the truck with the forks lowered.
▷ Never park the truck:
• on inclined floors.
• so that it hinders traffic and work or blocks emergency exits.

2.6 Handling the battery

2.6.1 Battery - lead/acid
WARNING Corrosive acid

► Always wear protective glasses and protective gloves
► If acid splashes onto your skin, wash with soap and plenty of water.
► If acid splashes into your eyes, wash the eyes immediately in an eye
bath and seek medical attention.
▷ Handle batteries and their connections with care. Read and follow the in-
structions carefully, for replacing and charging the battery, see Battery -
lead/acid, page 53.
▷ Only batteries that have been approved for trucks may be used (traction
batteries). Make sure that the battery weight correspond to the specifica-
tions on the type plate, see Identification plate, page 19.
▷ Make sure the battery is secured in its compartment.
2.7 Other hazards and risks
The truck and its components correspond to valid safety precautions, but
even with intended use and in spite the work being performed with care and
according to valid standards and regulations, risks when handling the truck
can't be totally excluded. These risks include:
• Slipperiness due to oil leakage or spill from lubricants.
• Negligence at for instance loading docks, obscured visibility or narrow
spaces.
• Badly anchored loading ramps or foundations with insufficient carrying
capacity.
• Careless driving that will make the truck tilt.
• Load falling off due to bad anchoring or packing.
• Insufficient attention to personnel and other trucks nearby. Persons that
stay within the work area of the truck must be informed about possible
risks.

• Poor visibility due to inadequate or improper lighting. The truck may only
be used in lighted areas so that the machine can be operated safety in
all situations as regards good visibility of people, material and the sur-
roundings. If the truck must be operated in areas with inadequate light-
ing, supplementary equipment must be used.
• Safety precautions has not been followed.
2.8 Radio transmitter (option)

WARNING Risk of interference
► Never drive close to medical equipment if the truck is equipped with a ra-
dio transmitter.
2.9 Fire extinguisher (option)

▷ Read the instructions of the fire extinguisher carefully so that you know
how to use it, and what inspections you have to do.
▷ Keep the extinguisher clean so that the instructions are legible.
▷ Recharge the fire extinguisher immediately after use. Contact an author-
ised service company.
The fire extinguisher must be checked by a trained service-person at the in-

tervals stated in the instructions.
2.9.1 Fitting of fire extinguishers
In case of adding equipment, please contact a service technician. The fire ex-
tinguisher must be mounted on the E-bar, either horizontally or vertically.
2.10 Truck modifications

Any modification of the truck must be approved beforehand. No modification
of truck may be performed that may influence the capacity, stability and
safety of the truck without prior written approval from the manufacturer, its
representative or successor.

In the case of the manufacturer no longer being in business and there being
no successor, the user of the truck may arrange for modifications on the pre-
condition that the user;
• makes sure that an engineer with expert knowledge of industrial trucks
and their safety designs, tests and implements the modification,
• files all documentation of the design, tests and implementation of the
modification,
• approves and makes the applicable changes to the capacity plate, ad-
hesive labels, markings and manuals
and
• affixes a permanent and well visible sign to the truck stating how the
truck has been modified, together with the date of the modification and
the name and address of the company that carried out the modification
work.

3.1 Emergency switch off
▷ Press the emergency switch off to cut off the power and stop the truck.
▷ Reset the emergency stop switch by pulling it upwards.
Following activation of the emergency stop switch, the truck must be restar-
ted.
3.2 If the truck turns over

The truck is properly balanced if it is used as per the directions in this oper-
ator manual.
If the truck turns over, act according to the instructions you got during the
truck operator course.

4.1 Placement of plates and symbols
WARNING Illegible warning and information signs
The warning and information signs on the truck contain important information
about the truck and for personal safety. If a warning and information sign is
missing there is a risk of danger. The signs must always be legible.

5 Introduction
5.1 Description of the truck
The truck is a battery-powered stacker designed for handling pallets in light to
medium-intensive applications. It is equipped with a tiller arm for operating
the truck while walking alongside.
Model designation, manufacturing number, capacity, weight and battery spe-
cifications are printed on the identification plate.
5.2 Intended use

The truck is designed to be used for handling goods in an environment
sheltered from the weather. The truck must be specially adapted if it is to be
used in a cold store or cold storage.
The truck may be used only on a firm and even surfaces, for example con-
crete or asphalt.
You must have passed a driver's education for this type of truck to use it. It
may also be a requirement that you have permission to drive the truck within
the area.
5.2.1 Specified temperature range - trucks with lead/acid battery
The manufacturer recommends an ambient temperature of 0°C to +40°C for

continuous operation. The lowest short-term temperature is -10°C.
5.3 Unauthorized use
The truck may never be used in the following situations, unless it is specially
adapted for them:
• Environments containing dust or gases that may cause a fire or explo-
sion.
• Corrosive environments.
• As a tractor truck for carts or other trucks.
• For transport or lift of passengers.

• Driving on an uneven floor or a floor with insufficient carrying capacity.

See the truck type plate and technical data in the end of this manual for
weights and wheel pressure.
The truck may not be used if it has any damages that affect the safety or safe
use, or repaired, modified or adjusted without the approval of the manufac-
turer.
5.4 Warranty
With every factory-delivered truck, a product warranty is included according to
a separate specification. The warranty is only valid if the operator, user and
service technician perform the daily checks, maintenance work and service
according to the service intervals set out in the operator manual and the re-
pair manual. The person performing the work must have training relevant for
the job. Use only spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.

The truck is controlled by the driver while walking.
▷ Operate the truck with the tiller arm in the centre position, F.

The brake is applied in two positions, B1 and B2:

Parking brake (B1): Move the tiller arm to position (B1) when you are parking
the truck.
Service brake (B2): Brake by moving the tiller arm down to the (B2) position.
6.3 Display
The display shows the battery capacity, operation time and error codes. The
display is also used when changing driver parameters.
Note: A rotating cube may sometimes be seen in the numeric field when the
truck is started. This happens if the start-up takes a little longer than usual be-
cause a parameter has been changed, or because the battery was discon-
nected before start-up.
Each time you start the truck, the operation time is shown for a few seconds
in the numeric field. At the same time the hour meter indicator is lit. After it
goes out, the battery capacity is continuously shown in the numeric field at
the same time as the battery indicator is lit.
If an error occur, the error indicator flashes, at the same time as an error code
is shown in the numeric field.

a) Numeric field
This field normally shows the battery capacity in %, but error codes and
parameters may be shown.
When it is time for service, S-0h is displayed in the field. Contact a ser-
vice technician.
ESO is displayed when the emergency switch off is activated.
SLO is displayed when the travel speed is limited.
StOP is displayed when there is an interlock in the hydraulic system.

Hot is displayed when the truck is too hot. Drive the truck less intens-
ively.
b) Time counter indicator
When this symbol is lit the operating time can be read in the numeric
field. The operating time specifies the time that the drive engine or hy-
draulic motor operates, and is measured in hours.
c) Parameter check
This symbol lights when checking set parameters. The parameter list can
then be read in the numeric field.
d) Battery indicator
When this symbol lights, the battery capacity can be read in % in the nu-
meric field:
100% = Fully charged battery
0% = Discharged battery.
When the field shows 10% capacity, the symbol starts to flash.
Charge the battery when the symbol flashes to save the battery.
If you continue to use the truck without charging the battery, the lift func-
tion is shut down when the field shows 0% capacity. The truck can still
be driven, so that it can be taken to the charging station.
e) Error indicator
When this symbol flashes, an error code is shown in the numeric field.
For the meaning of the code, see Error codes, page 62.
6.4 Displaying truck information

It is possible to look up items in the truck-specific register, but not to repro-
gram it.
1. Enter your PIN code without pressing the green button.
2. Press the horn button.
“InFo” is shown in the display.
3. Confirm the selected value by pressing the horn button.

6.5.1 Displaying parameters
There are two sets of parameters that can be set for every truck, operator
parameters and truck parameters. To change the truck parameters, the ser-
vice key is required. The operator parameters are indicated in the table.

The handling characteristics of the truck will change if you change any of the
truck specific parameters.
• Do not change any parameters without possessing the necessary know-

how.

3. Use the operating control to step forward until “PAr” is shown in the dis-
play.
4. Confirm the selected value by pressing the horn button.
5. Use the operating control to move to the desired parameter. The func-
tion browses faster the more you turn the control.
6. Release the operating control at the desired item. ESC returns you to
the previous menu.
The parameter symbol on the display will start to flash.

6.8 Operating controls
The brake is released at the same instant the lever is activated.

Use the operating control to continuously adjust the speed and select the de-
sired travel direction. A slight movement of the control results in low speed.
▷ Move the operating control in the desired travel direction.
When the drive control is released, it returns to the neutral position and the
truck's travel speed is automatically reduced. If the drive control is moved in
the opposite direction, this causes more powerful reduction of the truck's
travel speed. i.e. reversing.
6.9 Click-2-Creep function
This function is chiefly used in areas with limited space since it makes it pos-
sible to reduce travel speed and to lift/lower the forks even when the tiller arm
is either turned up or turned down.

The horn sounds as long as the button is pressed.
6.11 Switch for safety reversing

When you press the switch (C), the truck will change travel direction to the
fork direction. When you release the switch the truck stops completely.
If the truck has the “Click-2-creep” function activated (“SLO” flashing on the
display) the truck will come to a halt when the switch (C) is pressed.
▷ Move the travel direction selector (D) to neutral position, to be able to
start the truck again.

6.12 Handling of the forks and the support arms
The truck can be equipped with either a digital control for operating the forks
or a smart analogue control known as Sensi-lift.
6.12.1 Click-2-Creep function - lift/lower forks
If the truck is not equipped with Sensi-lift, Click-2-Creep can be used to re-
duce the speed when lifting or lowering the forks.

start of the work day or shift.
▷ Always report damages and errors to the management.
▷ Never use the truck until damages and errors are corrected by a service
technician.
▷ Perform all checks in a safe manner.
7.1.1 Control points - before starting the truck

7.2 Setting the operator environment

7.2.1 Accessory mount E-bar (option)
WARNING Installing accessories

► To prevent accessories from becoming loose and eliminate the risk of
accidents, only use mounting brackets specially approved by the many-
facturer for mounting accessories on the E-bar.
► Never install accessories so that the view out or the truck’s safety func-
tions are impaired, e.g. emergency switch off, steering, brakes, controls.
► To prevent accidents, make sure all fastening screws are securely
tightened.
a) E-bar mounting bracket

The E-bar is an integrated universal mount that can be used to mount op-
tional equipment required on the truck. It can be attached directly on the truck
or the load support.

You adjust the bracket so that it fits your work place.

the bracket does not come off.
7.3 Starting the Truck

7.3.1 Login with PIN code

An accident may take place and an error may occur in the truck log.
► Always log out when you leave the truck.
► Avoid letting the automatic log-out take place.
► Never leave the personal code to another person.
To start the truck, the operator must log in with the personal PIN code. The
PIN code can only be changed by a service technician.
▷ Enter your PIN code and press the green button (I) to start the truck.
A red light is lit if you enter an incorrect PIN code. When the light goes out,
start over from the beginning.
7.3.2 Login using a smart card - Smart Access (option)

An accident may take place and an error may occur in the truck log.
► Never give the personal card to another person.

Proceed as follows to log in:

1. Hold the card up against the card reader.
A flashing green light confirms the validity of the card. If the red light is lit
for two seconds the card is invalid.
2. Press the green button (I).
The green light is lit to confirm that you are logged in.
7.3.3 Truck log system (Option)
The truck log system's task is to increase the utilisation rate of the truck fleet,
increase the safety in the plant, and identify possible training needs of the op-
erators that work in the facilities. For your own and other's safety, turn off the
truck when it is not used actively.
7.4 Switching off the truck

An accident may occur if someone unauthorized drives the truck.
When leaving the truck, always switch it off by logging out.

▷ To switch off the truck, keep pressing the red button (O) for at least 1
second.
Note: Never press the red button (O) when working with the truck.
Automatic log-out takes place after a pre-set time of inactivity. This time dura-
tion can be set by a service technician.
7.5 Steering
WARNING Control of truck lost
You can lose control of the truck if your hands or shoes are oily.
► Always wipe your hands and shoes clean before driving.
▷ Use the tiller arm to steer the truck.

If the truck is stuck against some obstacle, don't use more power to steer
than what's used for steering the truck during normal driving. If this is the
case, try to come free by carefully driving forwards and backwards while care-
fully moving the tiller arm.
7.6 Driving the truck

WARNING Dangerous driving
Accidents can occur.
► Always drive with care, good judgement and responsibility as set out in
the general safety regulations.
1. Start the truck.

2. Move the tiller arm down to travel position (F).
3. Select desired travel direction, the parking brake is released automatic-
ally.
4. Start gently and accelerate moderately until you reach the desired
speed.

1. To enable this function, click the operating control twice in quick succes-
sion, either forward or reverse, with the tiller arm fully raised (braked po-
sition). At the same time SLO is shown on the display.

The feature is also disabled if it is not used for 10 seconds.
Note: When this function is activated it is possible to drive the truck and to lift/
lower the forks even when the tiller arm is fully raised.
7.6.2 Temporary reduction in speed/"Turtle button" (option)
The button can be used for a temporary reduction of the speed.

1. Press the button once to reduce the speed temporarily.
“SLO” is shown on the display.
2. Next time you press the button, the speed returns to the set standard
value.

7.6.3 Platform (option)
The truck may be fitted with a folding platform that is raised automatically
when it is not in use.
7.6.4 Shock sensor (option)
The shock sensor detects powerful impacts, and stops the truck if the impact
is too powerful. Several things happen when the truck stops:
• an audible signal is emitted, either once, or every 5 seconds,
• maximum speed is reduced to crawl speed,
• the lifting function is blocked, and
• an error symbol is displayed.

Certain truck models also display a warning or error code. These are found in
the chapter Handling a defective truck, page 62.
Depending on the parameter setting, the truck may be reset in one of three
ways:
• login with the usual code,
• login with a special reset code, or
• resetting via I_Site.
Do as follows when the truck has been stopped by the shock sensor:
1. Reset the truck with one of the above methods.
2. Carry out the checks as per Checks before use, page 38.
7.7 Stopping the truck

To improve safety, the values for speed, acceleration and speed reduc-
tion are reduced at lifting heights that exceed 1.8 m. If higher speed, ac-
celeration and speed reduction are desired even at lifting heights over
1.8 m, please contact a service technician.
▷ Always transport the heaviest load on the support arms with double pal-
let handling.
▷ For two-pallet handling, lower the load on the forks as much as possible
keeping it suspended and as close as possible to the load resting on the
support arms.
▷ Ensure the truck is equipped with an appropriate load support when
handling high loads.
▷ Always drive with the forks lowered, or as close to the load underneath
when a load is resting on the support arms, except when picking up or
setting down loads.

7.8.5 Skidding protection for forks (option)
The forks should have skidding protection if the trucks handle metal or plastic
load carriers. This will prevent the load carrier sliding off the forks.
7.8.6 Collecting loads
WARNING Loss of stability

Lifting/Lowering a loaded pallet when truck is still moving can cause the load
to fall off.
► Don't lift/lower the load if the truck is moving.
1. Decelerate and carefully position the truck in front of the racking.

2. Lower the support arms.
3. Lift the forks to the required height.
4. Carefully advance the truck so that the forks are as far as possible under
the load.
Note: If the forks are not equipped with skidding protection (option),
make sure that the forks do not scrape the underside of the load carrier.
5. Lift the forks so that the load leaves the supporting surface. Don't drive
at the same time as you lift the forks.
6. Reverse the truck until the load is clear of the racking.
7. Lower the load to the transport position and carefully drive away from
the racking.
8. Start moving softly, then gradually increase the speed.
7.8.7 Deposit the load
WARNING Loss of stability

Lifting/Lowering a loaded pallet when truck is still moving can cause the load
to fall off.
► Don't lift/lower the load if the truck is moving.

8.1 Battery - lead/acid
8.1.1 Introduction
The truck is designed to be powered by a lead-acid traction battery with a

nominal voltage of 24 volts.
Use only batteries approved by truck manufacturer.
▷ Check that the battery in the truck is a 24 V traction battery having a
weight within the minimum/maximum values stated on the identification
plate.
8.1.2 Battery maintenance
Always perform battery check before charging a battery.

1. Disconnect the battery connectors.
2. Rinse off and dry the battery.
8.1.3 Charging the battery
WARNING Risk of explosion

During charging, hydrogen gas forms in the battery. A short circuit, naked
flame or spark in the vicinity of the battery could cause an explosion.
► Always switch off the charging current BEFORE removing the battery
connector. Provide good ventilation, especially if the battery is charged
in a confined area.
WARNING Corrosive acid

► Always wear protective glasses and protective gloves
► If acid splashes onto your skin, wash with soap and plenty of water.
► If acid splashes into your eyes, wash the eyes immediately in an eye
bath and seek medical attention.
Use an automatic battery charger intended for charging traction truck batter-
ies.

8 Battery
The charger shall have an automatic maintenance charging feature for a cer-
tain period after the main charging period has been completed. This elimin-
ates the risk of overcharging the battery and the need to monitor the charging
procedure is reduced to a minimum.
The charger shall have a minimum charging current as indicated in the follow-
ing table:

4. Open the battery cover.
5. Separate the battery connectors.

9. Start the charger.
During charging
10. After a couple of minutes, check that the charger indicates the correct
charge; see the charger manufacturer's instructions.

11. Make sure that the ammeter indicates an insignificant or no reading and
that the maintenance charging lamp is on, if fitted.
12. Switch off the battery charger.
WARNING Risk of short-circuiting
The terminals could become damaged internally and result in a sub-
sequent short-circuit.
► Do not pull the cables to disconnect from the charger.

13. Disconnect the battery charger connector from the charging connector of
the battery.
14. Check the fluid level and top up with distilled water when needed.
The fluid level should be around 10 - 15 mm above the cell plates. Con-
tact a service technician if any cell has used up an unusually large
amount of electrolyte.
15. Connect the battery connector to the truck.
16. Close the battery compartment cover.
For detailed instructions, please see the instructions provided by the battery
manufacturer.
8.1.4 Changing the battery
WARNING Risk of centre of gravity shifting

Battery weight that is too low results in a deterioration in stability and braking
capacity.
► The battery weight must conform to the details specified on the truck
identification plate.
▷ Only replace the battery with a traction battery of the same weight and
specification as the original. The weight of the battery affects the stability
and braking capacity of the truck. Information on the minimum permitted
battery weight is on the truck identification plate.
Note: If the truck is equipped with an E-bar, this must be removed before
changing the battery.
Use the following procedure when replacing a battery:
WARNING Risk of short-circuiting
The cables may be damaged and may cause a short-circuit.
► Make sure the battery cables are not pinched.

3. Disconnect the battery connector.

4. Lift the discharged/old battery with an approved lifting device and a suit-
able battery yoke/lifting straps.
5. Use the battery yoke/lifting loops to lift the charged/new battery into
place.
6. Connect the battery connector to the battery.
8.1.4.1 Lateral battery replacement

The battery can roll out of the truck if the truck is not standing level.
► Ensure that the truck is standing on a level surface before opening the
battery hatch.

5. Pull out the discharged battery onto the battery changing table.
6. Push in the charged battery.

7. Make sure the catches on the battery lock hook into the battery loop be-
fore lowering the battery lock.

8.1.5 Built-in battery charger (option)
The built-in charger is adjusted from the factory for the type of battery and
size that is valid for the truck. If the truck is delivered without a battery, the
parameters must be set by the client.
▷ Prior to commencing charging, switch off the truck and disconnect all
other electrical connections to the truck.
▷ Open the battery compartment cover.
Note: The battery door must be open while charging is in progress. Con-
nect the charger's plug to a wall socket to start charging. Do not interrupt
charging when main charging is in progress or during equalising char-
ging.
When the truck is charging, the following is shown on the display:

The numerical display alternates between the display of capacity value

and the available Ah units. The battery symbol is lit continuously and the
red LED is flashing.

9.1 Introduction
▷ Make sure that the truck undergoes regular maintenance as specified in
Periodic maintenance, page 61. Truck safety, truck efficiency and the
truck's expected service life depend on the service and maintenance the
truck receives.
▷ Only use spare parts recommended by the truck manufacturer when
performing service and repairs, see the truck manufacturer's spare parts
list.
Toyota recommends that you contact your nearest Toyota representative to

make a service and maintenance agreement in order to ensure the truck's op-
erating economy and safety.
Only service technicians that are trained on this type of truck may perform
service work and repairs.
Note: Always remove the battery connector/cables when performing service
work on the truck.
Service work for the operator

▷ The operator must perform the daily checks according to the directions
in Checks before use, page 38.
Maintenance by service technicians

▷ The operator must perform the maintenance according to the directions

9.2 Cleaning and washing

To prolong the truck's service life, cleaning and washing must be performed
every week.
1. Disconnect the battery, and wipe if with a cloth.

If the truck for some reason stops operating and remains immobile in an un-
suitable place, it is possible to active the emergency travel mode to move the
truck out of the way (max. 1.3 km/h).

It is now possible to drive the truck, but exercise extreme caution. It is not
possible to perform emergency braking by raising the tiller arm.
If the truck is on an incline, the emergency travel mode must be used with the
utmost care. If you apply too much throttle, there is a risk that the truck will
roll away. To stop the truck, accelerate in the opposite direction.
Note: Some errors block emergency travel mode. You then cannot obtain in-
formation on the error.

The truck can start to roll when the parking brake function is disabled.
► Never leave the truck with the parking brake released unless the wheels
have been chocked in a satisfactory manner.
▷ Always remove the load before towing or transporting the truck to the
site of repair.
Note: The truck that is towed must always have a driver that follows, in order
to steer and break.
Tow using a tow truck and tow wagon:

1. Lift the truck onto the tow wagon, see the instructions under Lifting a
truck.
2. Connect the truck to the wagon.
3. Drive with care.
4. Lift off the truck according to the instructions under Lifting a truck.
11.3 Transporting on a lorry or other vehicle

When transporting the truck on a lorry or the like, the truck must be properly
anchored with stropping. Use inserts and sheets of shock-absorbing material
to prevent damage to the truck during lashing and transport.

a) Stropping
The process stated below starts when the truck is standing at the place
where it is to be secured.
Check that the stopping is sufficiently strong to hold the weight of the truck.
2. Block the wheels of the truck using wooden blocks.
3. Put protective sheets across sharp edges.
4. Lay the stropping across the forks as per the illustration.
5. Secure the stopping in applicable towing eyes or similar.
If the truck is transported in a container, it must be lifted up so that the drive

wheel goes clear from the floor.

12.1 Storing the truck
In dusty or dirty environments, the truck should be covered with a cover that
does not collect condensation, e.g. a cotton cover.
When storing the truck, the actions indicated in the following section must be
performed.
12.1.1 Truck with lead/acid battery
▷ Recharge the battery fully and carry out usual battery maintenance.
▷ If the truck will not be used for three days or longer, disconnect the bat-
tery connector.
▷ Maintenance charge the battery every third month and check the fluid
level.
12.1.2 Hydraulic system
▷ Change the oil in the hydraulic system if you plan to not use truck for
longer than one year. For details on oil and grease specifications, see
the repair manual.
12.1.3 Drive unit
▷ Support the truck’s drive unit to take the load off the drive wheel, if stor-
ing the truck for periods longer than one week.
12.1.4 Unpainted surfaces
▷ Lubricate chains and mechanical parts.

▷ Spray penetrating oil on the electrical connectors.
12.2 Starting after a period of storage

The following items must be checked if the truck has not been in use for a
time longer than three months:

13.1 Disposal of the battery
According to the European Battery Directive (2006/66/EG) the producer is re-
sponsible for the disposal of the battery. A worn out battery must be returned
to the battery manufacturer (see battery markings) or to a manufacturer rep-
resentative. If you need help in returning the battery, please contact your local
truck dealer.
The symbol with the crossed out dustbin means that the battery must not be
disposed of with household waste. The marking with chemical designation in-
dicates which heavy metal is found in the battery.
13.2 Environmental impact of the battery

13.2.1 Battery - lead/acid
Pb, Hg, Cd
The substances that make up certain batteries and are most harmful to hu-
man health and the environment, are the heavy metals mercury (Hg), cad-
mium (Cd) and lead (Pb).
13.3 Handling oil

There are two types of oil in the truck; hydraulic oil and gear box oil. Used oil
must be disposed of as hazardous waste and sent to be taken care of by au-
thorised agencies.
Even the oil filters must be handled separately as hazardous waste.

14.1 Introduction
The table provides information on certain technical data for standard model
trucks. There may be variations. The numbers in the table are taken from VDI
2198.
Static and dynamic tests have been carried out in accordance with the applic-
able sections in EN ISO 3691-1:2012 para 5.2, 5.3. For values that refer to
non-dated standards, the issue of the standard that was valid at the issue
date of the operator manual applies.

Vi gratulerar till att du har valt en Toyota-truck. Den är konstruerad för att gö-
ra ditt arbete effektivare, enklare och säkrare. Innan du börjar använda truc-
ken är det dock av yttersta vikt att du lärt dig handha trucken på ett säkert sätt
genom att noga läsa och förstå innehållet i den här manualen. Du måste även
uppfylla kraven på utbildning och lokal behörighet innan du börjar använda
trucken.
Manualen innehåller information om säkerhetsregler, hur du ska arbeta med
trucken och hur du genom ett dagligt skötselschema håller trucken i ett gott
skick. För det återkommande underhållet står vår kvalitetsinriktade serviceor-
ganisation till ditt förfogande för att säkerställa en hög tillgänglighet under
lång tid framöver.
För att göra innehållet tillgängligt ska manualen alltid medfölja trucken. Kopior

1 Om operatörsmanualen
1.1 Introduktion
I manualen ges varningar och anvisningar för att undvika tillbud eller olyckor.
Var noga med att följa dessa anvisningar. Det är även din skyldighet att ha
kunskap om och följa lokala säkerhetsbestämmelser. Om anvisningarna i den
här manualen i något avseende skulle avvika från dessa bestämmelser, ska
de lokala anvisningarna följas.
▷ Kontrollera att säkerhetsutrustning, skydd och säkerhetsbrytare fungerar
innan du använder trucken. Säkerhetsutrustning får ej sättas ur funktion
eller tas bort.
▷ Kontrollera att truckens informationsskyltar är läsbara. Lär dig innebör-
den av informations- och typskyltar, se Varnings- och informationsskyl-
tar, sidan 92.
▷ Utför daglig kontroll enligt procedur i Arbeta med trucken, sidan 113. Se
även till att underhåll utförs enligt anvisningar under Periodiskt underhåll,
sidan 136 i Underhåll, sidan 135.
1.2 Begrepp
Nedan förklaras några av de begrepp som finns i manualen. Vi vill påpeka att
det kan finnas andra betydelser av dessa begrepp i andra sammanhang, men
i denna manual har vi definierat dem enligt nedan.
Användare
Användare är den fysiska eller juridiska person som ansvarar för truc-
ken. Användaren kan hantera trucken själv eller ge någon annan (till ex-
empel förare/operatör) i uppdrag att hantera trucken. I särskilda fall, till
exempel vid uthyrning, är det användaren som har ansvaret för trucken
enligt gällande avtal mellan ägaren och den som hanterar trucken.
Förare/Operatör
Föraren är den person som fysiskt kör och hanterar trucken. En operatör
är den person som sköter en automatisk truck eller annan maskin.
Servicetekniker
En person som har utbildning att utföra service och underhåll på trucken.

2 Säker användning
2.1 Användarens ansvar
Det är användaren som ansvarar för att;
▷ alla som hanterar trucken har läst och förstått den här manualen samt
genomgått truckförarutbildning med godkänt resultat.
▷ trucken hanteras på ett säkert sätt för att inte äventyra sitt eget eller and-
ra personers liv och hälsa.
▷ varningar och anvisningar som finns i denna manual följs.
▷ manualen finns tillgänglig för föraren/operatören.
▷ underhåll och service utförs i enlighet med föreskrivna intervall under av-
snitt Periodiskt underhåll, sidan 136.
2.1.1 Inloggning i samband med leverans
2.1.1.1 Truck med pinkod
Under leverans har trucken en fyrsiffrig transportkod som indikeras av en

transportdekal på knappsatsen.
▷ Tryck in pinkoden som anvisas på transportdekalen och avsluta med
grön knapp (I) för att starta trucken.
Agera enligt följande när trucken levererats:

▷ Kontrollera att trucken är avstängd. Avlägsna och kassera sedan trans-
portdekalen.
▷ Kontakta servicetekniker för att ändra pinkoden.
VARNING Obehörig körning
Eftersom transportkoden inte är unik kan obehöriga få tillgång till truc-
ken.
► Ändra transportkoden till en unik pinkod när trucken levererats.

2.1.1.2 Truck med kortläsare - Smart Access (tillval)
Truckar utrustade med kortläsare levereras med transportkort.

▷ Håll kortet mot kortläsaren och tryck på grön knapp (I) medan den gröna
lampan blinkar för att starta trucken.
Blinkande grön lampa bekräftar kortets giltighet. Om röd lampa lyser är
kortet ogiltigt.
Agera enligt följande när trucken levererats:

▷ Avlägsna och kassera transportkortet.
Obehöriga kan få tillgång till trucken om transportkortet sitter kvar.
► Låt aldrig transportkortet följa med trucken efter leverans.
2.2 Förarens ansvar

▷ Innan du börjar använda trucken ska du ha genomgått en utbildning för
trucktypen med godkänt resultat. Din lokala Toyota-representant kan er-
bjuda lämpliga kurser. Säkerställ även att du har lokalt tillstånd att köra
trucken.
▷ Ta alltid reda på hur din specifika truck är konfigurerad innan du börjar
använda den. Trucken kan vara utrustad med tillval och aktiverade/avak-
tiverade hjälpsystem vilka bör kännas till innan trucken används.
▷ Följ lokala säkerhetsbestämmelser och anvisningar för skyddsutrustning.
▷ Använd alltid skyddsskor vid arbete med trucken.
▷ Befinn dig inte eller låt inte någon annan befinna sig under upplyfta gaff-
lar.
▷ Använd aldrig eventuellt laststöd som stege.
▷ Använd aldrig trucken om den har skador eller fel som påverkar säker-
heten eller säker användning. Alla reparationer ska utföras av för ända-
målet utbildad personal.
▷ Rapportera alltid olyckor som orsakat personskada eller materiell skada
till arbetsledningen. Kontrollera truckens funktioner innan den åter an-
vänds, se Kontroll före användning, sidan 113.

2.3 Körning och uppträdande vid körning

▷ Kör alltid trucken från den ordinarie förarplatsen.
▷ Kör inte med någon del av kroppen utanför truckens konturlinje.
▷ Kör aldrig trucken med oljiga händer eller oljiga skor.
▷ Ha inte lösa föremål eller smycken på dig när du arbetar med trucken.
▷ Kör alltid trucken på ett ansvarskännande sätt och med full kontroll.
▷ Undvik plötsliga starter och inbromsningar samt svängar i hög hastighet.
▷ Var uppmärksam på annan personal och andra truckar liksom utskjutan-
de delar från ställage, hyllor, väggar och tak. Var beredd att stanna!
▷ Ge ljudsignal vid omkörning och för att varna annan personal.
▷ Låt aldrig passagerare åka med på trucken.
▷ Kör trucken med minskad hastighet på lutande underlag. Kör rakt uppför
eller nedför lutningen. Det är inte tillåtet att vända trucken i lutningen.
Olastad truck ska köras med gafflarna riktade nedåt lutningen och lastad
truck ska köras med gafflarna riktade uppåt lutningen.
▷ Kör med lasten baktill om den skymmer sikten eller låt någon dirigera
dig.
▷ Minska hastigheten när sikten är begränsad.
▷ Minska hastigheten om underlaget är halt för att undvika att trucken
sladdar eller tippar.
▷ Håll ett säkert avstånd till alla framförvarande fordon.
▷ Låt lastad truck få företräde i korsningar och trånga passager.
▷ Kör alltid på säkert avstånd från kanten på lastkajer och lastbryggor.
▷ Var uppmärksam på markerade riskområden.
▷ Innan du kör trucken över en lastbrygga, försäkra dig om att lastbryggan
är säkert förankrad och har tillräcklig bärförmåga. Kör långsamt och för-
siktigt över lastbryggan med säkert avstånd till bryggans kant.
▷ Innan du kör trucken ombord på ett annat fordon ska du försäkra dig om
att det andra fordonet står stadigt och är säkert bromsat.

▷ Innan du kör in i en hiss ska du försäkra dig om att hissen är godkänd

för den totala belastningen (truckens, lastens plus förarens vikt). Kör in
med lasten först. Tillåt ej andra personer att vara i hissen.
▷ Kör alltid med gafflarna i nedsänkt läge utom då du hämtar eller lämnar
last.
2.4 Hantering av last

▷ Hantera endast last som är inom truckens tillåtna lyftkapacitet enligt truc-
kens kapacitetsskylt.
▷ Gafflarnas längd/bredd ska vara anpassade till lastens utformning och
dimension.
▷ Hantera endast last som är stabilt och säkert förankrad.
▷ Hantera långa och höga laster med särskild försiktighet.
▷ Placera lastens tyngdpunkt så nära truckens centrumlinje som möjligt.
2.5 Parkering av truck

▷ Utnyttja anvisad parkeringsplats om det finns.
▷ Parkera alltid trucken med nedsänkta gafflar.
▷ Parkera aldrig trucken:
• på lutande underlag.
• så att den hindrar trafik och arbeten eller blockerar nödutgångar.
2.6 Hantering av batteri

2.6.1 Batteri - bly/syra
VARNING Frätande syra

► Använd alltid skyddsglasögon och skyddshandskar
► Syrastänk på huden, tvätta med tvål och rikligt med vatten.
► Syrastänk i ögonen, tvätta omedelbart ögonen med ögondusch, kontakta
läkare.

2.7 Andra faror och risker
Trucken och dess komponenter motsvarar gällande säkerhetsbestämmelser,

men även vid avsedd användning och trots att arbetet utförs omsorgsfullt och
enligt gällande normer och föreskrifter kan vissa risker vid hantering av truc-
ken inte helt uteslutas. Sådana risker kan vara:
• Halka på grund av oljeläckage eller spill av smörjmedel.
• Oaktsamhet vid exempelvis lastkajer, skymd sikt eller trånga utrymmen.
• Dåligt förankrade lastbryggor eller underlag med otillräcklig bärighet.
• Vårdslös körning som får trucken att tippa.
• Last som ramlar av på grund av dålig förankring eller packning.
• Otillräcklig uppmärksamhet på personal och andra truckar i närheten.
Personer som vistas inom truckens arbetsområde måste informeras om
risker som kan uppstå.
• Dålig sikt på grund av otillräcklig eller felaktig belysning. Trucken får en-
dast användas i områden som är belysta så att maskinen i alla situatio-
ner kan framföras på ett säkert sätt med hänsyn till god uppsikt av perso-
ner, material och omgivning. Om trucken ska framföras i områden med
bristfällig belysning måste kompletterande utrustning användas.
• Säkerhetsföreskrifter har inte följts.
2.8 Radiosändare (tillval)

VARNING Störningsrisk
► Kör aldrig i närheten av medicinsk utrustning när trucken är utrustad
med en radiosändare.

2.9 Brandsläckare (tillval)

▷ Läs igenom instruktionerna på brandsläckaren noga så att du vet hur du
ska använda den och vilka kontroller du ska göra.
▷ Håll brandsläckaren ren så att instruktionerna går att läsa.
▷ Ladda om brandsläckaren omedelbart efter användning. Kontakta aukto-
riserat serviceföretag.
Brandsläckaren ska kontrolleras av utbildad serviceman med intervall som

står angivet i instruktionerna.
2.9.1 Eftermontage av brandsläckare
Vid eftermontage kontakta servicetekniker. Brandsläckaren ska monteras på

E-baren, stående eller liggande.
2.10 Truckmodifiering
Endast godkänd modifiering av trucken är tillåten. Inga ändringar av trucken,
som till exempel kan påverka kapacitet, stabilitet eller säkerhetskrav på truc-
ken, får göras utan föregående skriftligt godkännande från trucktillverkaren,
dennes representant, eller dennes efterträdare.
Endast om tillverkaren inte längre finns kvar och efterträdare saknas får an-
vändaren av trucken ordna med modifiering under förutsättning att använda-
ren;
• ser till att en fackman med expertis inom industritruckar och deras säker-
het konstruerar, testar och implementerar modifieringen,
• arkiverar dokumentation av konstruktion, tester och implementation av
modifieringen,
• godkänner och gör tillämpliga ändringar av kapacitetsskylten, dekaler,
markeringar och manualer
samt
• fäster en permanent och väl synlig skylt på trucken där det framgår hur
trucken har modifierats, tillsammans med datumet för modifiering och
namn och adress till företaget som utförde arbetet.

3.1 Nödbrytare
▷ Tryck ner nödbrytaren för att bryta strömmen och stanna trucken.
▷ Återställ nödbrytaren genom att dra den uppåt.

Trucken är stabil så länge den används enligt instruktionerna i den här manu-

5 Introduktion
5.1 Presentation av trucken
Trucken är en batteridriven staplare avsedd för hantering av pallar i lätta till
medelintensiva applikationer. Den är utrustad med manöverarm för gående
manövrering.
Modellbeteckning, tillverkningsnummer, kapacitet, vikt och batterispecifikatio-
ner framgår av typskylten.
5.2 Avsedd användning

Trucken är konstruerad att användas för hantering av gods i väderskyddad
miljö. För användning i kyl- eller fryshusmiljö ska trucken vara särskilt anpas-
sad för detta.
Trucken får endast användas på ett hårt och jämnt underlag, till exempel be-
tong eller asfalt.
För att få använda trucken ska du ha genomgått förarutbildning på den här
trucktypen. Det kan även krävas att du har tillstånd att köra trucken inom om-
rådet.
5.2.1 Avsett temperaturområde - truck med bly/syra-batteri
Av tillverkaren rekommenderad omgivningstemperatur vid kontinuerlig drift är

mellan 0°C och +40°C. Lägsta kortvariga temperatur är -10°C.
5.3 Otillåten användning
Trucken får ej användas i följande tillämpningar om den inte är särskilt anpas-

sad för denna:
• Miljöer som innehåller damm eller gaser som kan orsaka brand eller ex-
plosion.
• Miljöer som är korrosiva.
• Som dragtruck av vagnar eller andra truckar.
• Transport eller lyft av passagerare.

• Körning på ojämnt golv eller golv med otillräcklig bärighet. Se truckens

typskylt och tekniska data i slutet av den här manualen för vikter och
hjultryck.
Trucken får ej användas om den har skador eller fel som påverkar säkerheten
eller säker användning, och ej heller om den har reparerats, modifierats eller
justerats utan att det godkänts av tillverkaren.
5.4 Garanti
Med varje fabrikslevererad truck ingår en produktgaranti enligt separat speci-
fikation. Garantin gäller under förutsättning att daglig kontroll, underhållsarbe-
te och service utförs enligt angivna serviceintervall i operatörsmanualen och
reparationsmanualen av förare, användare respektive servicetekniker. Utföra-
ren ska ha relevant utbildning för uppgiften. Endast av tillverkaren rekommen-
derade reservdelar får användas.

Bromsen dras åt vid två lägen, B1 och B2:

Parkeringsbroms (B1): För manöverarmen till läge (B1) när du ska parkera
trucken.
Färdbroms (B2): Bromsa genom att föra manöverarmen nedåt till läge (B2).
6.3 Display
Displayen visar batterikapacitet, drifttid och eventuella felkoder. Displayen an-
vänds dessutom vid ändring av förarparametrar.
Notera: Vid start av trucken kan en roterande kub visas i det numeriska fältet.
Detta inträffar om uppstarten tar lite längre tid än vanligt för att någon para-
meter ändrats eller att batteriet varit bortkopplat innan start.
Varje gång du startar trucken visas drifttiden under några sekunder i det nu-
meriska fältet. Samtidigt lyser timmätarindikatorn. Efter att den slocknat visas
kontinuerligt batterikapaciteten i det numeriska fältet samtidigt som batteriin-
dikatorn lyser.
Om ett fel uppstår blinkar felvisningsindikatorn samtidigt som en felkod visas i
det numeriska fältet.

Drifttid anger den tid drivmotorn eller hydraulmotorn är i drift och mäts i
timmar.
c) Parameterkontroll
Denna symbol lyser vid kontroll av inställda parametrar. Parameterlistan
kan då avläsas i det numeriska fältet.
d) Batteriindikator
När denna symbol lyser kan batteriets kapacitet avläsas i % i det nume-
riska fältet:
100 % = Fulladdat batteri
0 % = Urladdat batteri.
När fältet visar 10% kapacitet börjar symbolen blinka.
Ladda batteriet när symbolen blinkar för att spara på batteriet.
Om du fortsätter använda trucken utan att ladda batteriet stängs lyftfunk-
tionen av när fältet visar 0 % kapacitet. Trucken kan fortfarande köras för
att kunna tas till laddningsstationen.
e) Felvisningsindikator
När denna symbol blinkar visas en felkod i det numeriska fältet. För ko-

Med körreglaget reglerar du hastigheten steglöst samt bestämmer körriktning.
Ett litet utslag på reglaget ger låg hastighet.

När du släpper körreglaget återgår det till neutralläge och truckens åkhastig-
het reduceras automatiskt. Om du för körreglaget i motsatt riktning får du en
kraftigare reducering av åkhastigheten, reversering.
6.9 Click-2-Creep funktion
Funktionen är framför allt avsedd att användas i områden med begränsat ut-
rymme eftersom den möjliggör sänkning av åkhastigheten samt lyft och sänk-
ning av gafflarna även när manöverarmen är i uppfällt eller nedfällt läge.
6.10 Reglage för ljudsignal
Signalen ljuder så länge du trycker på knappen

6.11 Brytare för säkerhetsreversering

När brytaren (C) trycks in byter trucken åkriktning till gaffelriktningen. När du
släpper brytaren stannar trucken helt.
Om trucken har “Click-2-creep” aktiverat (“SLO” blinkar på displayen) stannar
trucken helt när brytaren (C) trycks in.
▷ För åkriktningsväljaren (D) till neutralläge för att åter kunna starta truc-
ken.
6.12 Hantering av gafflar och stödben
Trucken kan antingen vara utrustad med en digital kontroll för att hantera
gafflarna eller en smart analog kontroll s.k. Sensi-lift.
6.12.1 Click-2-Creep funktion - lyft/sänk gafflar
Om trucken inte är utrustad med Sensi-lift kan Click-2-Creep användas för att
minska lyft- och sänkhastigheten av gafflarna.

7.1 Kontroll före användning

För att upprätthålla säkerheten ska följande kontrollpunkter alltid utföras vid
arbetsdagens eller skiftets början.
▷ Rapportera alltid skador och fel till arbetsledningen.
▷ Använd aldrig trucken förrän skador och fel har åtgärdats av servicetek-
niker.
▷ Utför alla kontrollpunkter på ett säkert sätt.

7.2 Inställning av förarmiljö

7.2.1 Tillbehörsfäste E-bar (tillval)
VARNING Montering av tillbehör

► Använd endast av tillverkaren godkända fästen till E-bar för att undvika
att tillbehör lossnar och orsakar olyckor.
► Montera aldrig tillbehören så att sikten försämras eller truckens säker-
hetsfunktioner sätts ur spel t.ex. nödbrytare, styrning, broms, manöver-
reglage.
► Se noga till att fästskruvarna är väl åtdragna för att undvika olyckor.
a) E-bar monteringsfäste
E-bar är ett integrerat universalfäste som kan användas för montering av al-
ternativa tillbehör som kan behövas på trucken. Det kan fästas direkt på truc-
ken eller på laststöd.

Monteringssatsens fäste är utformat för att passa PC och knappsats. Du kan

ställa in fästets läge för att det ska passa din arbetsplats.

▷ Lossa vredet mitt på armen för att ställa in önskat läge. Dra sedan åt
vredet ordentligt så att inte fästet lossnar.
7.3 Starta trucken

7.3.1 Inloggning med pinkod

Olycka kan inträffa och fel i truckloggen uppstå.
► Logga alltid ut när du lämnar trucken.
► Undvik att låta truckens automatiska utloggning träda i funktion.
► Lämna aldrig ut den personliga koden till annan person.
För att starta trucken måste du logga in med din personliga pinkod. Pinkoden
kan endast ändras av servicetekniker.
▷ Tryck in din pinkod följd av grön knapp (I) för att starta trucken.
Om du trycker in fel pinkod tänds en röd lampa. När den har slocknat kan du
börja om från början.
7.3.2 Inloggning med smartkort - Smart Access (tillval)

Olycka kan inträffa och fel i truckloggen uppstå.
► Låna aldrig ut ditt personliga kort till annan person.

1. Håll kortet mot kortläsaren.
Blinkande grön lampa bekräftar kortets giltighet. Om röd lampa lyser
med fast sken, under två sekunder, är kortet ogiltigt.

7.3.3 Truckloggningssystem (tillval)
Truckloggningssystemet har till uppgift att öka utnyttjandegraden av truckflot-

tan, öka säkerheten på anläggningen samt identifiera eventuella utbildnings-
behov av anläggningens förare. För din och andras säkerhet bör du stänga
av trucken när den inte används aktivt.
7.4 Stänga av trucken

Olycka kan inträffa om någon obehörig kör trucken.
När du lämnar trucken ska du alltid stänga av trucken genom att logga ut.
▷ Tryck på röd knapp (O), och håll den intryckt minst 1 sekund, för att
stänga av trucken.
Notera: Tryck aldrig på röd knapp (O) när du arbetar med trucken.
Automatisk utloggning sker när trucken varit inaktiv en viss tid. Denna tid
ställs in av servicetekniker.
7.5 Styrning
VARNING Förlorad kontroll över trucken
Du kan förlora kontrollen över trucken om händer eller skor är oljiga.
► Torka alltid av händer och skor innan körning.
▷ Styr med hjälp av manöverarmen.

Om trucken fastnat mot något hinder, använd inte mer kraft för att styra än
vad som går åt för att styra trucken under normal körning. Försök att komma
loss genom att försiktigt köra framåt och bakåt och samtidigt försiktigt vrida
manöverarmen.

VARNING Oförsiktig körning
Olycka kan inträffa.
► Kör alltid med försiktighet, omdöme och ansvar enligt vad som anges i
de generella säkerhetsföreskrifterna.
1. Starta trucken.
2. För ner manöverarmen till körläge (F).
3. Välj önskad åkriktning, parkeringsbromsen lossas automatiskt.
4. Starta mjukt och med litet utslag på körreglaget för att sedan öka till öns-
kad hastighet.

7.6.1 Click-2-Creep funktion - körning

1. Klicka snabbt två gånger, framåt eller bakåt, på körreglaget med manö-
verarmen i uppfällt (bromsat) läge för att aktivera funktionen. Samtidigt
visas texten SLO på displayen.
2. Stäng funktionen genom att åter klicka snabbt två gånger på körreglaget
eller genom att aktivera brytaren för säkerhetsreversering
Funktionen stängs också av om den inte använts på 10 sekunder.
Notera: När funktionen är aktiverad är det möjligt att köra trucken samt lyfta
och sänka gafflarna även om manöverarmen är i uppfällt läge.
7.6.2 Tillfällig hastighetssänkning/"Sköldpaddsknapp" (tillval)
Knappen kan användas för en tillfällig hastighetssänkning.

1. Tryck en gång på knappen för att tillfälligt sänka hastigheten.
“SLO” visas på displayen.
2. Vid nästa tryck på knappen återgår hastigheten till inställt standardvär-
de.

av hastigheten.
7.6.3 Plattform (tillval)
Trucken kan utrustas med en nedfällbar plattform som fälls upp automatiskt
när den inte belastas.
7.6.4 Stötsensor (tillval)
Stötsensorn registrerar kraftiga stötar och stoppar trucken om en stöt är till-

räckligt kraftig. När trucken stoppas händer flera saker:
• en ljudsignal ges, antingen en gång eller var 5:e sekund,
• maximal hastighet sätts till krypfart,
• lyftfunktionen spärras och
• en felsymbol visas.

beskriven i kapitlet Hantering av defekt truck, sidan 137.
Återställning av trucken kan ske på tre olika sätt, beroende på parameterin-

ställning:
• inloggning med vanlig kod,
• inloggning med särskild återställningskod eller
• återställning via I_Site.
När trucken stoppats av stötsensorn, arbeta enligt följande:
1. Återställ trucken med någon av ovanstående metoder.
2. Utför kontroll enligt Kontroll före användning, sidan 113.
7.7 Stanna trucken

7.8 Hantering av last

▷ Hantera endast last som är inom truckens tillåtna lyftförmåga. Se truc-
kens Kapacitetsskylt, sidan 95.
För att öka säkerheten, minskas värdena för hastighet, acceleration och
hastighetsreducering vid lyfthöjder högre än 1,8 m. Önskas en högre
hastighet, acceleration och hastighetsreducering även vid lyfthöjder över
1,8 m, kontakta servicetekniker.
▷ Transportera alltid den tyngsta lasten på stödbenen vid dubbelpallshan-

tering.
▷ Sänk lasten på gafflarna så lågt som möjligt över lasten på stödbenen

vid dubbelpallshantering.
▷ Se till att trucken är utrustad med ett lämpligt laststöd vid hantering av
höga laster.
▷ Kör alltid med gafflarna i nedsänkt läge, eller så lågt som en eventuell
last på stödbenen tillåter, utom då du hämtar eller lämnar last.

Observera: Gafflarna kan ej sänkas när trucken är avstängd.
7.8.3 Automatisk sänkning av stödben
(gäller endast SWE120L och SWE140L)

När gafflarna når sitt frilyftsläge stannar gafflarna. Stödbenen sänks automa-
tiskt och därefter fortsätter gaffellyftet.
7.8.4 Click-2-Creep funktion - lyft/sänk gafflar
a) Lyft- och sänkreglage

Om trucken inte är utrustad med Sensi-lift kan Click-2-Creep användas för att
minska lyft- och sänkhastigheten av gafflarna.
▷ Släpp lyft- och sänkreglaget ett ögonblick och tryck återigen på lyftregla-
get.
Lyfthastigheten är nu sänkt till kryphastighet.
▷ Släpp lyft- och sänkreglaget återigen ett ögonblick och tryck igen på lyft-
reglaget.
Lyfthastigheten återgår till den förinställda hastigheten.

7.8.5 Halkskydd gafflar (tillval)
Vid hantering av lastbärare av metall eller plast bör gafflarna vara utrustade
med halkskydd. Detta för att förhindra att lastbäraren glider av gafflarna.
7.8.6 Hämta last
VARNING Förlorad laststabilitet

Lyftning/sänkning av lastad pall när trucken fortfarande rör sig kan medföra
att lasten faller av pallen.
► Lyft/sänk ej lasten om trucken är i rörelse.
1. Bromsa ned hastigheten och positionera försiktigt framför ställaget.

2. Sänk stödbenen.
3. Lyft gafflarna till önskad lyfthöjd.
4. Kör försiktigt fram trucken så att gafflarna kommer så långt under lasten
som möjligt.
Notera: Om gafflarna är utrustade med halkskydd (tillval), försäkra dig
om att gafflarna inte skrapar mot lastbärarens undersida.
5. Lyft gafflarna så att lasten går fri från underlaget. Kör inte samtidigt som
du lyfter gafflarna.
6. Backa tillbaka trucken så att lasten går fri från ställaget.
7. Sänk ned lasten till transportläge och kör varsamt bort från ställaget.
8. Starta mjukt för att sedan öka hastigheten.
7.8.7 Lämna last
VARNING Förlorad laststabilitet

Lyftning/sänkning av lastad pall när trucken fortfarande rör sig kan medföra
att lasten faller av pallen.
► Lyft/sänk ej lasten om trucken är i rörelse.
1. Bromsa ned hastigheten och positionera försiktigt framför ställaget.

2. Sänk stödbenen.
3. Lyft gafflarna till önskad höjd.

4. Kör fram trucken, så att lasten kommer rätt i ställaget.

5. Sänk ned gafflarna så att de går fria från lasten.
6. Backa trucken.
Notera: Om gafflarna är utrustade med halkskydd (tillval), försäkra dig
om att gafflarna inte skrapar mot lastbärarens undersida.
7. Sänk ned gafflarna till transportläge och kör varsamt bort från ställaget.
8. Starta mjukt för att sedan öka hastigheten.
7.8.8 Laststöd (tillval)
Laststödet ökar stabiliteten hos lasten vid hantering av höga laster.
7.9 Parkering av trucken

Olycka kan inträffa om någon obehörig kör trucken.
► Lämna aldrig ut trucken till obehörig person.

8 Batteri
8 Batteri
8.1 Batteri - bly/syra
8.1.1 Introduktion
Trucken är konstruerad för att få sin energiförsörjning från ett så kallat traktio-
närt blybatteri med nominell spänning på 24 Volt.
Endast batterier godkända av trucktillverkaren får användas.
▷ Kontrollera att batteriet i trucken är ett 24 V traktionärt batteri med en
min- respektive maxvikt som överensstämmer med uppgifterna på truc-
kens typskylt.
8.1.2 Batteriunderhåll
Utför alltid batteriunderhåll före laddning av batteri.

1. Dra isär batterihandskarna.
2. Skölj av och torka batteriet.
8.1.3 Laddning av batteri
VARNING Risk för explosion

Under laddning bildas alltid vätgas (knallgas) i batteriet. Kortslutning, öppen
låga eller gnista i närheten av batteriet kan förorsaka explosion.
► Bryt alltid laddningsströmmen INNAN laddningshandsken lossas, venti-
lera väl, speciellt om batteriet laddas i ett slutet rum.
VARNING Frätande syra

► Använd alltid skyddsglasögon och skyddshandskar
► Syrastänk på huden, tvätta med tvål och rikligt med vatten.
► Syrastänk i ögonen, tvätta omedelbart ögonen med ögondusch, kontakta
läkare.
Använd ett automatiskt laddningsaggregat som är avsett för laddning av trak-
tionära truckbatterier.

Batteri 8
Laddningsaggregatet ska ge en automatisk underhållsladdning under en viss

tid efter det att huvudladdningen avslutats. Då elimineras risken för överladd-
ning av batteriet och övervakningsbehovet under laddningen reduceras till ett
minimum.
Laddningsaggregatet ska ha en minsta laddningsström enligt följande tabell:

1. Parkera trucken på anvisad laddningsplats.
2. Se till att inget hindrar ventilationen över batteriet.
4. Öppna batteriluckan.
5. Dra isär batterihandskarna.

7. Kontrollera att laddningsaggregatet är frånslaget.
8. Anslut laddningsaggregatet till batteriets laddningsuttag.
9. Starta laddningsaggregatet.
Under laddning
10. Kontrollera efter några minuter att laddningsaggregatet ger indikering för
korrekt laddning, se laddartillverkarens instruktioner.
Efter laddning
11. Kontrollera att amperemätaren ger obetydligt eller inget utslag och att
eventuell lampa för underhållsladdning lyser.
12. Stäng av laddningsaggregatet.
VARNING Risk för kortslutning
Anslutningarna kan bli skadade inuti och orsaka efterföljande kortslut-
ning.
► Dra inte i kablarna för att koppla ifrån laddningsaggregatet.
13. Dra ur laddningsaggregatets handske ur batteriets laddningshandske.

14. Kontrollera vätskenivån och fyll på destillerat vatten vid behov.

Vätskenivån ska ligga 10 - 15 mm över cellplattorna. Om någon cell för-
brukat onormalt mycket vätska, kontakta servicetekniker.
15. Anslut batterihandsken till trucken.
16. Stäng batteriluckan.
För detaljerade anvisningar, se batteritillverkarens instruktioner.
8.1.4 Byte av batteri
VARNING Risk för tyngdpunktsförskjutning

För låg batterivikt ger försämrad stabilitet och bromsförmåga.
► Batterivikten måste vara enligt de uppgifter som anges på truckens typ-
skylt.
▷ Byt endast till ett traktionärt batteri med samma vikt och specifikation
som originalbatteriet. Batterivikten påverkar truckens stabilitet och
bromsförmåga. Information om minsta tillåtna batterivikt finns på truc-
kens typskylt.
Notera: Om trucken är utrustad med E-bar måste detta demonteras före bat-
teribyte.
Arbeta enligt följande vid byte av batteri:

Kablarna kan skadas och orsaka kortslutning.
► Kontrollera att batterikablarna ej kommer i kläm.
3. Dra ur batterihandsken.

4. Lyft ur det urladdade/gamla batteriet med en godkänd lyftanordning och

ett anpassat batteriok/lyftstroppar.
5. Lyft i det laddade/nya batteriet med hjälp av batterioket/lyftstroppen.

8.1.4.1 Byta batteri från sidan
VARNING Fallande batteri

Batteriet kan rulla ut ur trucken om trucken lutar.
► Försäkra dig om att trucken står på ett plant underlag innan batteriluckan
öppnas.

5. Skjut ut det urladdade batteriet på batteribytesbordet.
6. Skjut in det laddade batteriet.

7. Kontrollera att hakarna på batterilåsningen hakar om bygeln på batteriet
innan du fäller ned batterilåsningen.
8. Anslut batterihandsken till batteriet.
8.1.5 Inbyggd laddare (tillval)
Den inbyggda laddaren är justerad från fabrik för den batterityp och storlek
som gäller för trucken. Om trucken levereras utan batteri måste parametrarna
justeras av kunden.
▷ Stäng alltid av trucken före laddning och koppla ur övriga elektriska an-
slutningar till trucken.
▷ Öppna batteriluckan.
Notera: Batteriluckan ska vara öppen under hela laddningen. Anslut lad-
darens stickkontakt till ett vägguttag för att starta laddning. Laddningen
får ej avbrytas under huvudladdning eller utjämningsladdning.

I det numeriska fältet växlar visningen mellan kapacitetsvärde och enhe-

ten Ah. Batterisymbolen lyser med fast sken och röda lysdioden blinkar.

9 Underhåll
9.1 Introduktion
▷ Se till att trucken genomgår regelbundet underhåll enligt anvisningar un-
der Periodiskt underhåll, sidan 136. Truckens säkerhet, effektivitet och
livslängd är beroende av den service och det underhåll den får.
▷ Använd endast av trucktillverkaren rekommenderade reservdelar vid
service och reparation, se trucktillverkarens reservdelskatalog.
Toyota rekommenderar att ni vänder er till närmaste Toyota-representant för

att teckna service- och underhållsavtal för att säkerställa truckens driftseko-
nomi och säkerhet.
Endast servicetekniker som utbildats för denna trucktyp får utföra service-
och reparationsarbete.
Notera: Dra alltid ur batterihandsken/batterikablarna vid servicearbeten på
trucken.
Underhållsarbete för föraren

▷ Föraren ska utföra daglig kontroll enligt anvisningar under Kontroll före
användning, sidan 113.
Underhållsarbete för servicetekniker

▷ Servicetekniker ska utföra underhåll enligt anvisningar under Periodiskt
underhåll, sidan 136. Allt underhåll ska dokumenteras i en servicerap-
port.
9.2 Rengöring och tvättning

För att förlänga truckens livslängd ska rengöring och tvättning utföras varje
vecka.
1. Koppla från batteriet och torka av det med en trasa.
Notera: Bly/syra-batteri kan sköljas och torkas av med en torr trasa.
2. Tvätta av chassi, gafflar etc. Använd, vid behov, ett avfettningsmedel ut-
spätt till lämplig koncentration.
3. Tvätta bort löst sittande smuts med ljummet vatten.

9.3 Periodiskt underhåll

Periodiskt återkommande underhåll av trucken som ska utföras av servicetek-
niker vid fastställda intervall presenteras översiktligt nedan. För detaljerat ser-

10.2 Nödkörningsläge
Om trucken av någon anledning slutar fungera och blir stående på en olämp-
lig plats kan den ställas i nödkörningsläge för att flyttas undan (max 1,3 km/
h).
3. Tryck in knappen för ljudsignal.
4. Använd körreglaget för att stega fram till “Ed”.
5. Tryck in knappen för ljudsignal för att välja nödkörningsläge.
Alla lampor blinkar och “SLO” visas i displayen.

Du kan nu köra trucken med stor försiktighet. Det går inte att bromsa akut ge-
nom att fälla upp manöverarmen.
Om trucken befinner sig på ett lutande underlag så måste nödkörningsläget
användas med största försiktighet. Om du ger för mycket gaspådrag finns det
risk att trucken rullar iväg. För att stoppa trucken så måste du ge ett gaspå-
drag i motsatt riktning.
Notera: Vissa fel hindrar nödkörningsläget från att fungera. Du kan då inte få
någon information om felet.

11.2 Bogsering och transport av defekt truck

VARNING Personskada
Trucken kan börja rulla då parkeringsbromsens funktion borttagits.
► Lämna aldrig trucken med parkeringsbromsen frilagd, utan att blockera
hjulen på ett tillfredsställande sätt.
▷ Ta alltid bort lasten innan du bogserar eller transporterar trucken till re-
parationsplatsen.
Notera: Den truck som bogseras ska alltid ha en förare som går med för att
kunna styra och bromsa.
Bogsera med hjälp av dragtruck och bogseringsvagn:

1. Lyft upp trucken på bogseringsvagnen, se instruktioner under Lyft av
truck.
2. Förankra trucken i vagnen.
3. Kör iväg försiktigt.
4. Lyft av trucken enligt instruktioner under Lyft av truck.
11.3 Transport på lastbil eller andra fordon

Vid transport av trucken på lastbil eller liknande måste trucken förankras or-
dentlig med spännband. Använd mellanlägg och skivor av stötupptagande
material för att förhindra skador på trucken vid surrning och transport.

Processen nedan börjar när trucken står på den plats där den ska förankras.
Kontrollera att spännbanden tål truckens vikt.
2. Spärra truckens hjul med klotsar.
3. Placera ut skyddande mellanlägg/skivor över vassa kanter.
4. Dra spännbanden över gafflarna enligt bild.
5. Förankra spännbanden i tillämpliga öglor, eller motsvarande.
Vid transport i container ska trucken pallas upp så att drivhjulet går fritt från
underlaget.

12 Avställning och lagring
12 Avställning och lagring

12.1 Avställning av truck
I dammiga eller smutsiga miljöer bör trucken täckas över med tyg som inte
samlar kondens, till exempel bomullstyg.
Vid avställning ska även åtgärder enligt punkterna i efterföljande avsnitt åt-
gärdas.
12.1.1 Truck med bly/syra-batteri
▷ Ladda batterierna fullt och utför normalt batteriunderhåll.

▷ Drag ur batterihandsken om trucken inte ska användas under tre dagar.
▷ Underhållsladda batteriet var tredje månad och kontrollera vätskenivån.
12.1.2 Hydraulsystem
▷ Byt oljan i hydraulsystemet efter avställning längre tid än ett år. För olje-
och fettspecifikation, se Reparationsmanualen.
12.1.3 Drivaggregat
▷ Palla upp truckens drivdel så att drivhjulet avlastas vid avställning längre
än en vecka.
12.1.4 Olackade ytor
▷ Smörj in kedjor och mekaniska delar.

▷ Spraya elektriska kontakter med kontaktspray.
12.2 I drift efter avställning

Innan trucken tas i drift efter att ha varit avställd, längre tid än tre månader,
ska nedanstående kontrollpunkter utföras:
▷ Genomför daglig kontroll, se Kontroll före användning, sidan 113.

13 Återvinning och skrotning

13.1 Skrotning av batteri
I enlighet med det europeiska batteridirektivet (2006/66/EG) gäller producent-
ansvar för batterier. Förbrukat batteri ska återlämnas till tillverkaren av batteri-
et (se märkskylt på batteriet) eller representant för tillverkaren. Behöver ni
hjälp med återsändning av batterier kontakta er lokala återförsäljare av truc-
kar.
Märkningen med den överkorsade soptunnan innebär att batteriet inte ska
slängas bland hushållsavfallet. Märkningen med kemisk beteckning indikerar
vilken tungmetall batteriet innehåller.
13.2 Batteriets miljöpåverkan

13.2.1 Batteri - bly/syra
Pb, Hg, Cd
De ämnen som ingår i vissa batterier och som har mest skadlig inverkan på
människors hälsa och miljö (inklusive djur och natur) är tungmetallerna kvick-
silver (Hg), kadmium (Cd) och bly (Pb).
13.3 Hantering av olja

I trucken finns två typer av olja; hydraulolja och växellådsolja. Begagnade ol-
jor ska omhändertas som farligt avfall och skickas till omhändertagare med
erforderliga tillstånd.
Även oljefilter ska hanteras separat som farligt avfall enligt ovan.

14.1 Introduktion
Tabellen ger information om vissa tekniska data för standardutförande av
trucken, avvikelser kan förekomma. Tabellens numrering är hämtad från VDI
2198.
Statiska och dynamiska tester är utförda i enlighet med tillämpbara delar i EN
ISO 3691-1:2012 paragraf 5.2, 5.3. För värden med hänvisning till icke date-
rade standarder gäller den utgåva av standarden som var giltig vid manua-
lens utfärdandedatum.
