Lessons for the week of April 19 – 22

Monday

THROWING
 Welcome students, take attendance
 We are going to do online PE for the next 2 weeks, no health as yet.
 Students are expected to engage in 30 minutes of activity during each PE period.
 Can do several “Let’s Do This “ activities or one activity so long as their activity
time adds up to at least 30 minutes.
 Students are given class time to do activity so they should spend that class time
being active.
 Present to students: Google classroom and where they can find “Let’s Do This”
slides. Review the slideshow with students
o Now show the THROWING slides – 4 videos
 Throwing (can use a ball, balled up socks, etc)
 How to throw a baseball (can use a ball or balled up socks)
 How to throw a football
 How to throw a Frisbee

 Students are expected to do a MINIMUM of 2 different THROWING videos on 2

SEPARATE days this week. (Ie: Throwing Video Monday and 2 nd video Thursday)
doing 2 throwing videos on Tuesday is not acceptable – want to have them done
on different days as it benefits processing and technique – it’s not my fault, it’s
how your brain works!
 Students can choose “Let’s Do This” activities on the other days or do a different
throwing video each day
 The 2 different throwing videos must be completed by end of the day Thursday
as it is necessary to complete your online assignment.
 Dismiss students to engage in activity
 Enter attendance online via powerschool

Tuesday
 Welcome student, take attendance
 Go over the reflective assignment due Thursday
 Present google classroom to the students and show they where it is on google
classroom
 Open the assignment and go over the assignment with students – IT IS TO BE
DONE ON THURSDAY and DUE FRIDAY BY NOON
  Ask students – Did you do a throwing video yesterday? If you did – chose
whatever activity you want to do for 30 minutes today. If you haven’t yet done a
throwing video – do one TODAY
 Dismiss students to engage in activity – remember to ask your parents before
leaving your home/yard
 Enter attendance via powerschool

Wednesday
 Welcome students, take attendance
 Remind students about throwing videos and 30 minutes of activity
 Enter attendance via powerschool

Thursday
 Welcome students, take attendance
 Remind students about throwing videos and 30 minutes of activity
 Remind students they need to complete their assignment TODAY
o Show them again where and quick review of the assignment
 FUN FRIDAY TOMORROW – meet via the same link BUT at the FRIDAY time for
their class
 Enter attendance via powerschool

Friday
 Meet your FRIDAY HR class at the FRIDAY scheduled time
 Take attendance for you FRIDAY class
 Students can choose their activity and be active for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes
 Be on time for your next class
 Dismiss students
 Enter attendance into powerschool
