User Assistance Page Header

Glossary The page header shows information about the opened item and remains
visible when you view a different category for that item. The page title
Getting Started includes the name of any view or filter selected for that page, although
some pages show the view and filter name at the bottom.
3DEXPERIENCE Platform
If the browser window is not fully expanded, some of the items in the
3DEXPERIENCE Dashboard Apps page header might be hidden depending on the size of the browser.
3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps When you maximize the window, the hidden items are displayed.
If you use the page header tools to change information that also shows
3DEXPERIENCE Web Apps -
in the page, such as promoting or demoting the item, the change does

What's New? not show in the page until you click Refresh . In the same way, if you
change something in the page that also shows in the header, such as
Dashboard
editing the item's name, the change does not show in the header until

you click Refresh .
Web Apps Top Bar

About Web App Pages To view the page header, select an item from the list page or open an item.
Page Toolbar Icons The page header can include the items listed here. Not all headers include
all of these pieces, and some items might show additional details. You can

Create Item Dialog Box to open it, or, for counters with a value greater than one, to view the list of
Buttons items.

Reference Library
The description of the item.
Legal Notices

The previous, current, and


next state of the item's
lifecycle. You only see
states other than the
current state if you have
promote and demote
access.
You can:
Click the current
state, the blue link, to
open the Lifecycle
page.
Click the previous or
next state to promote
or demote an item.

If you click a state to


promote or demote it and
the following message
appears, "Operation Failed,"
open the lifecycle to see
where it is blocked.
Not all page headers
include the state. For
example, Inbox Tasks,
Bookmark Root, Bookmark,
and Routes do not show the
state.

The owner's name and the last


date the item was modified.
Click the date to view the
history page for the item.
Page Header Component Description

Drop zone to add files to an


item.
The file name and
information about the last
two checked in files appear
beside the drop zone. The
total number of documents
appears under this
information. Drag one or
more files into this zone to
check in documents, if you
have check in access.
During the check-in process
the drop zone turns orange
and shows the progress of
the file check-in.
If the item is a document,
the dropped files are
checked into that
document. If the item is
any other type, the dropped
files are added as
documents in the Reference
Document category for the
item.
For files that display next to
the drop zone, you can:
Hover over Document
to view
information about a
file.
Click a file name to
download that file to
the local disk.
Click the total number
of documents to open
the document list
page.

You cannot drop files from


within a browser window to
the drop zone. That is, you
cannot drag documents
shown in a column to the
drop zone.

Shows above the navigation


pane. Drops-down a menu of
the categories for the active
app.

premises
only:
Opens the
Messages
window.
When gray,
you do not
have any
new
messages.
When red,
the number
indicates
how many
unread
messages
you have.
This icon
updates
when new
messages
come in
only if you
refresh the
page.

Back or Click to
Forward move back to
the page of the
object you
most recently
viewed. This
button does not
move back to a
different
category for
the object
being viewed.

Click to
return to
the page of
an object
after

You cannot
use your
keyboard
backspace
key to
navigate
the browser
to a prior
page. The
backspace
key only

reloads the

orange, click to
update the
content part of
the page with
the latest data.
Refresh
updates the
data on the
last 5
category
pages you
viewed
based on
changes
you made.

Clicking
reloads the
page by
retrieving
data from
the server.

Collapse ID Click to hide all


Card information
except the
name and
lifecycle states.

Expand ID Click to show


Card all information
in the page
header.

Shows the collaborative space


of the content. Only shows if
the content belongs to a
collaborative space other than
the active collaborative space
shown in the top bar.
