1. What, according to you, were the reasons for Rohit’s disillusionment? Answer the question
using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

Answer: 01

Reasons behind disillusionment of Rohit:

In the zen computer, Rohit’s boss was Suresh who was a very good mentor and very helpful person
whereas his new boss Aparna was just opposite. Aparna do not interfere with their works as well
as do not guide them properly. Main reason for the disillusionment was lack of motivation. He
cannot fulfill his social needs and esteem needs in this company. He is always under pressure
because there was no freedom in the work. His boss always tries to set her owns ideas where she
doesn't give a chance to implement other’s ideas. Another reason is lack of motivation. His boss
does not give motivation anymore; instead of motivation she blames her subordinates for late
work.

Esteem need:

1. Appreciation from the team members and boss

2. Rohit changed overview from smaller firm to bigger firm in the quest for this emotional need.

3. Rohit needs to understand Madam Aparna's way of working.

4. He has needs to self-esteem and respect.

Self-actualization need:

Rohit did not reached self-actualization because Boss imposes his own ideas on the team do not
give exposure to others to express their ideas. He did not feel better. Also Rohit gradually began
to lose interest in his work. He was learning nothing new thing that’s why Rohit lose Self-
actualization to the work place.
2. What should Rohit do to resolve his situation? What can a team leader do to ensure high levels
of motivation among his/her team members?
Answer: A solid team work is highly recommended to ensure complete work project. Specially,
when it comes to repair the lack of connections and understandings among the group members.
Rohit and the group leader should follow some basic steps in order to resolve such situation.

What Rohit should do to resolve his problem?

 Rohit should maintain his motivation level and efficiency.


 He should maintain his interest and be very participating in all the tasks assigned to him.
 He should showcase his creativity skills as much as possible and also be convincing with his
boss so that his ideas are implemented
 He should try to persuade his colleagues to take part in the decision making process even if
they get rejected.
 Rohit should put in the effort to establish a better and more functional relationship with his
boss.

What his boss should do to maintain motivation of its employees

 His boss should maintain a good and friendly work environment so that the employees enjoy
working.
 His boss should also be understanding and also make sure its employees have the space to
prosper
 Should introduce incentives to its subordinates to motivate them and increase their
efficiency.
 His boss should be open to inviting ideas from its subordinates and also implement them
 His boss should also take on the role of a teacher and train them accordingly
 Should always appreciate its subordinates work and try to motivate them more with praises.
