Dear parents,
The Following are all the details concerning the research and presentation your child is
required to do this semester. For further information, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s
homeroom teacher.

Presentations – Social Studies

Through practice and experience we will create a generation of confident speakers.
Notes:
• Choose any topic that is related to our curriculum.
• The presentation – including all the visual aids such as PowerPoint Presentations, slides,
posters, or 3-D objects - is to be ready to submit
• The presentation must be well prepared for and practiced, so your child is able to
present confidently and as fluently as possible.
• The assessment of each presentation will be according to a specific rubric consisting of:
1) Self-Confidence
- body language and eye contact
- contact with the public
- physical organization

2) Fluency of Language
- correct usage
- appropriate vocabulary and grammar
- understandable
- spoken loud enough to be heard by all of the audience
3) Clarity of Idea
- clear objectives
- logical structure

4) Visual Aids
- transparencies, PowerPoint presentation
- handouts
- audio, video, etc.

5) Content

• The presentations and the research papers are two different assignments, and will be
assessed separately.
• Each presentation is out of 10 marks.

Research Paper– Science

The research paper grade is out of 10 marks.

• Remember to include at least 5 pages;

Page (1) Title, name, and date

Page (2-5) pages with content and pictures

Last Page Resources (where you got your information)

• The research paper will be assessed according to the following:

1- Organization
2- Content (main idea, details, conclusion)
3- Deadline

• Note: choose any topic that is related to our curriculum.

- The deadline for submission is 11th Week corresponding to 31/3/2021
