Summary:
The XP Series main unit program has been updated from version 00-11 to version 00-12. In addition, the XP
series Instructions for Use (IFU) manuals and XP Series Service Manual have been updated.

Detailed Information:
1. [CARD1XP1X: XP Series Main Unit Program]

Changes are as follows:

<Changed Specifications>
(1) Messages can now be displayed in Latin American Portuguese.
z Latin American Portuguese setting values have been added to language
settings.
z If language is set to "PT-BR" (Latin American Portuguese), messages will now
be displayed in Latin American Portuguese.

<Resolved issues>

(1) Previously, after a "Replace reagent error" occurred, the error was cleared by
shutting down the instrument and powering back ON. However, when reagent was
replaced and the instrument was subsequently switched OFF and back ON, the same
error occurred again.

This issue has now been resolved.

2. Due to the addition of settings for Latin American Portuguese, the XP series Instructions for Use (IFU)

manuals have been updated. Please refer to the attached XP Series IFU Revision History for change
information.

3. The XP Series Service Manual Chapter 1: Specifications has been revised as listed below.

Revised page Changed contents

1-2 "DP(Data print)" has been added to "1.5.1.2 Expandability for system
(peripheral equipment)".

1-14 "Latin American Portuguese" has been added to "(2) Used Languages".

Action To Be Taken :
1. This program will not be provided free of charge for instruments in the field. If you need to update the program
version, an order should be placed using the part number listed below.
2. Please refer to XP Series Program Upgrade Procedure in "Attachments" to upgrade the program.
3. Please refer to the following pages of updated SYSMEX documentation (attached) for applicable information.
These updated pages will be included in the next Manual update.
