number information will be provided in ECR revision when confirmed.

Summary:
The XP Series main unit program has been updated from version 00-12 to version 00-13. In
addition, the XP Series program for SNCS communication PCB (SNCS Firmware) has been
updated from version 00-03 to version 00-04.

Detailed Information:

1. [CARD1XP1X: XP Series Main Unit Program]

Changes are as follows:

It is now possible to select the direction to output printing paper on DP printer.
(1) DP Output setting function has been added to [Settings] in Service Menu.
The fourth screen has been added to [Parameters] in [Settings] to display setting
parameter [DP Output].
On this screen there are two options to choose from.
- Backward (Printing paper is output from the rear. Default)
- Forward (Printing paper is output from the front.)
2. [CDR2XP1X (SNCS Firmware): Program for SNCS communication PCB (PCB NO.90043)]
Changes are as follows:

As MAC addresses for LAN port expansion module (XPort04R) were running out, an
alternate module (XPort05R) is now supported.
(1) Firmware has been changed to support MAC addresses of both XPort04R and
XPort05R.
Previously, only lower MAC addresses were referenced. However, the program has
been changed to reference upper addresses as well.

3. XP Series Service Manual Chapter 5: Service Program has been revised as listed below.

“Functions of the Buttons” table has been updated.
5-32 “DP OUTPUT” has been added to “Options” table.
5-58 “DP OUTPUT” has been added to Item Name “Parameters”.

Action To Be Taken:
1. This program will not be provided free of charge for instruments in the field. If you need to
update the program version, an order should be placed using the part number listed below.

2. As CARD_ASSY NO.25(1XP1X) [P/N: BD347455] includes CDR2XP1X (SNCS Firmware)

(OUTPUT INTERFACE_ASSY NO.8), it is not necessary to order OUTPUT
INTERFACE_ASSY NO.8 [P/N: AQ899866], and has therefore been made "Unsalable".

3. Please refer to XP Series Program Upgrade Procedure in "Attachments" to upgrade the

program.

4. Please refer to the attached pages of updated SYSMEX documentation for applicable
information. These updated pages will be included in the next Manual update.
