Introduction
The Academic Performance of the ABM students in St. Michael's Institute Bacoor, Inc. is
most often linked with a lot of components of the learning environment. The learning
environment refers to the components and activities within which learning takes place. A school
environment where learnings are acquired is as important as the learnings itself. It makes sense
that students would do better when they learn in effective environments specifically the
And for a learning environment to be effective, learning elements such as furniture and
ventilation must be provided as these elements provide comfort that the students need on their
learning progress. An ideal learning environment is when students view their environment as a
positive and comfortable place to be in. It is a space where they feel safe and secure which will
help them focus more on their studies. To achieve this environment, young students need to be
nurtured with love, care, and support. As we all know, learning in a school involves more than
just being exposed to various knowledge and understanding. Students can absorb all that they
observe around them and that they learn best when they are in a positive and nurturing
environment.
A positive environment is where students can have the opportunity to work as a team,
celebrate each other’s achievements and learn from their mistakes. It improves students’ ability
to learn and to be productive through the opportunity of learning things on their own. On the
other hand, learning environment dramatically affects the learning outcomes of students. Too
much noise, inappropriate temperature, poor lighting, overcrowded classes, and inappropriate
facilities greatly affect the performance of the students. In order for the students to acquire the
best form of education the parents make sure that they carefully choose the best schools; while
some parents prefer private schools, others prefer public and mission schools. Many people
have attributed the success of schools to factors such as class size, number of students, seats,
teachers’ attitudes, playground, libraries, laboratories and even the beauty of the school.
Auditorium, or simply the School itself. It remains an essential area that should manage well to
improve students’ academic experiences and performance. The quality of education not only
depends on teacher’s duties but as well as the successful coordination of the Learning
Environment itself. The Degree of students learning depends on the structure of their
School environment has a great control in the quality of teaching that students receives
and amount of attention they pay for education in school. It implies that schools that fail to cater
to the necessary learning facilities for teaching and learning may barely bring out the best in
their student in the field of academic achievement. Previous studies have investigated the
location, school population, classroom ventilation, poor lighting in classrooms and inconsistent
temperatures in the classroom with student health problems, student’s behavior and student
achievement.
Learning environments play a significant role in student success. Schools can potentially
lift student achievement by improving their learning environments. It makes sense that students

Hypotheses
(H0) A learning environment can be set up in a way that prevents creativity or does not
encourage a positive learning environment. Classrooms are often without or completely lacking
essential materials. Complications may occur which are difficulties in making friends and
expressing feelings. Predicaments like anxiety, loneliness, low self-esteem, and sadness may
also occur. The rate of students arguing, fighting, disturbing ongoing activities may also
increase.

The main purpose of our study is to point out the effects of the Learning environment on
the academic performance of ABM students. The researchers aim to describe the barrier that
may have an effect on the students’ academic performance such as their learning environment.
This research work aims to discuss the effects of the Learning environment of the ABM students
