Section 1 Description of the work / activity
Install double glazed partitions and doors in accordance with approved drawings on Level 2.

Section 2 Sequence of the task


1 Identify location glass size and type required for each area - (Zone-wise ideally)
2 Call-off two days of supply in advance
3 Offload glass A-frames from the duty cab via a forklift; banksman to faciliate maneuvre
4 Arrange A-frames in the designated area in the delivery way
5 Using a jack palet to transfer A-frames (one by one) into the hoist to shift to workfloor

6 During lateral transport within the workfloor use jack palets; ensure palet is moving under supervision at both ends

7 At the workfloor, aptly arrange A-frames in a designated area ensuring no damage to surrounding items or passerbys

8 Inspect glass crates for external damage


9 Open relevant crates and retrieve glass panels required
10 Inspect each glass for damage
11 Place glass panel on tresles for cleaning and application of edge tape
12 Ensure that framework is complete and level
13 Glaziers to wear vinyl gloves throughout installation
14 Glaziers to use glass catchers to hold glass; as safety measure against finger trapping
Position glass in designated location on floor track inner groove, align with vertical track and
15 insert retaining clips

16 Position second glass panel in second profile outer groove and proceed in the same way as the
first panel already in place
17 Proceed with installing adjacent panels or corner panels with the same procedure and bonding to
vertical edges using the pre-installed tape
18 Unterminated double glazing to be sealed from dust and dirt using plastic cling wrap

19 Complete each partition run working from corners or three way junctions and leave allocated
space for door opening.
20 Installation of door frames to encapsulate glass edges

Install glass doors using top and bottom pivot fixings per manufacturer instructions
After installation glass to be cleaned from either side; door frames to be covered with appropriate protection
