These guidesheets are specifically made for practicing Copperplate/Engrossers Script


uppercase letters. The ovals are there as a guide to give you a visual as you practice. Some
letters (O, Q) may naturally fall in the oval shape, but don’t feel pressured to stay inside the
oval for all the letters! The slant line is at 55 degrees and the x-height is labeled on the
bottom. I’ve provided both 4/16 inch and 3/16 inch. Tip: Practice on a bigger x-height
first. This will enable you to see your mistakes. When you are ready, move onto the smaller
x-height. Let’s conquer those uppercase letters together! Enjoy!
