BP Day
Observed
T he Great Founder of the
World Scout Movement,
Lord Baden Powel was
born on Feb 22, 1857. He
is better known as BP. With
only 20 Boys, he started a
Scout Camp in Brownsea
Island in southern England
on an experimental basis.
Presently the Movement
exists in 170 Countries with
some 50 million Members.
Bangladesh has some 1.70
million Scout Members, and
is the fifth largest Scout State
in the world.
At 15:00 in the afternoon
of Feb 22 last the Day was
observed at the NHQ.
Painting for Cub Scouts,
Essay Competition for Scouts
and Extempore Speech for
Rover Scouts were arranged.
Dr. Md. Mozammel
Haque Khan, Commissioner
[Enquiry], ACC and CNC BS,
distributed prizes. Guardians,
Cub Scouts, Scouts and
Rover Scouts; National
Leaders of BS attended.
All Dist. and Upajela
Scouts observed the Day in
a befitting manner.

First National TTL Camp

T he First National Ticket to Life


Scout Camp 2019 was held from
Feb 14 to 16 last at the National

Agreement Between Unicef And


Bangladesh Scouts
A Programme Cooperation
Agreement [PCA] was signed
between these two Organizations
in order to cooperate in imparting
education and training on Scouts
of some Dists., City- and Municipal
Corporations about Reproductive
Health and Skills on Reducing Risks
during Calamities.
Representative of UNICEF,
Bangladesh Mr. Edouard Beigbeder
and Executive Director, BS Mr.
Arshadul Mukaddis signed the PCA
at the NHQ on Feb 10 last.
Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan,
Commissioner [Enquiry], ACC and
CNC BS, Mr. Shah Kamal, NC [CD
& Health], UNICEF, Bangladesh
Officials, Senior Officials of BS and
Professional Executives witnessed
the signing.
