Abstract / Summary

- In 2011, a series of anti-government protests and armed rebellions across most of the Arabic
countries started a brutal civil war with different religions and ethnicities called Arab Spring
which caused the European Migrant Crisis in the summer of 2015. Because of this, it caused the
Syrian population to be trapped between the massive violent war so many decided to seek
asylum in Europe. Many are still struggling to leave the countries because of war, violence,
poverty, climate changes, and low income. Over the years, more countries have started to
accept migrants, but there are still many of those who are lost and are struggling to stay alive
especially now with Covid-19.
- We can donate money to organizations like the Red Cross or the Migrant Offshore Aid station
which sends rescue boats to migrants that are at risk of drowning and we can also send supplies
to organizations like amazon who has a registry for different supplies so people can but them
and send it to those who need it.
o We could also sign petitions for European governments to accept more migrants.
Everyone who can lend a helping hand can help with this in a span of about 5 years’
time.

Statement of need

- It is important to help the migrants that need help because they want a safe and secure place to
live. They decided that they were not going to stay in a place of violence and poverty, and they
wanted to grow their family somewhere that was safe, but it has been hard for them and that is
why as a country, we should help.
- Generally when people hear others say that helping and volunteering your time can help others,
people usually disregard that. But when they actually go out and help those by donating time or
money, or both and they see the lives they could save, not only does this benefit the migrants,
but it makes everyone happier and could change their feelings about helping people.
- When the Crisis first started, many countries were not so accepting of migrants, but as time
passed, many are taking in several thousand migrants and even though it sounds a lot, it’s not
enough.

Project activity, methodology and outcomes

- Choosing this, I believe that even though that this crisis happened in 2015, many are still
suffering in many ways like not being accepted into countries so they have to live on their own
or it could also be that they are lost, and they don’t know where else to go to survive.
- I believe that people should be able to survive and to be able to live in a world where they can
live and grow their families in a safe and full environment. So I would want to provide donations,
money and supplies to different organizations and possibly my own to different refugee hot
spots in Europe and Arabic countries that are of need of help.
- This will help people by providing essentials to survive like food, water and shelter necessities,
but to also provide a community like a school and medical system. This will also help spread the
 word on this crisis and the people who are endangered to it so more can help them achieve a
suitable life.

Evaluations

- I plan to help gather donations, money and supplies, to help the people who are struggling to
survive since the European Migrant Crisis. But I also want to make sure that the supplies are in
good condition, so they are happy with the help that they are receiving.

Dissemination

- I can share my website on social medias, ask friends, family and others to help promote this
cause to their friends, family and work and to donate whatever supplies or money they can. Also
if I am lucky, I could possibly get a resource on news commercial.

- To earn all of the donations, I could promote on social media, get friends, families and others to
spread the word on this and to donate whatever they can.
o Possibly in the future future, I could get people to volunteer their time and travel to
these places to hand out these supplies to the refugees.
