Population: 13266.75 kg/day) is estimated to be
generated during Peak days & Approximately, 876.75
kg/day domestic solid waste (Permanent Population:
202.50 kg/day & Floating Population: 674.25 kg/day)
is estimated to be generated during Non-Peak days
from the project activity. Base of calculation @
450gms/person/day for residential and 250
gm/person/day for floating population.

Commercial Waste (E-

(E-wastes):
wastes : E-waste will start being
generated after a latency period of 4-5 years. Since
most of these components are recyclable in nature,
efforts will be made to recycle it to the maximum
extent, hence actual waste generated as E-waste should
be minimal. It is estimated that from the project about
0.05-0.10 MT/yr E-waste will be generated.

Management of E-
E-waste

The principle idea of E-waste management is to recycle

the E-waste generated. Authorized vendors of
electronic goods will take back their old
equipment/cartridge/toner rolls etc. and pay some
concessions on the new equipment. On the other hand,
reusable material like cartridges/toners will be refilled
and reused. Outdated computers/ fax/ phones etc. will
be value added and sold to downstream uses through
resellers. These arrangements will be made with existing
CPCB authorized vendors to simultaneously &
effectively reduce the quantity of E-waste generated
and also to generate substantial revenue for running the
management system. Whatever E-waste left, will be
collected separately in HDPE drums and will be stored
in special containments, onto puckka platforms and
under lock and key. The collected e –waste will be
handed over to the CPCB authorized vendors.

Liquid Effluent:
Effluent :
During construction phase, sewage will be treated and
disposed through septic tanks with soak pits. During
operation phase, 137.18 KLD waste water will be
generated which will be treated in the Sewage
Treatment Plant (STP) having capacity of 170 KLD up to

operation? operation of the project activities except for internal
roads.
1.18 New road, rail, air waterborne No The area is already developed. It is well connected by
or other transport infrastructure roads to whole of the city, so there will be no
including new or altered routes alteration of routes or lying down of new routes done
and stations, ports, airports etc? due to project activity. Internal roads within t h e
project site will be constructed for smooth movement
of traffic.
1.19 Closure or diversion of existing No There will not be any closure or diversion of existing
transport routes or infrastructure transport routes, as the “International Level Cricket
leading to changes in traffic Stadium cum Sports Complex” Sports Complex building
movements? is proposed within site premises. Thus there will not be

6.1 From operation of equipment Yes The machinery which will be used for construction will
e.g. engines, ventilation plant, be of high standard and of reputed make and
crushers will adhere to international standard. These
standards itself take care of noise pollution control /
vibration control and air emission control. Hence
insignificant impacts due to construction machinery are
envisaged. Apart from this, the construction
activities will be restricted to daytime only.

Sources of noise in the operational phase will be D.G.

sets and from vehicular movement only. The D.G. sets
will be in operation during power failure only and will
generate noise level below 75 dB (A) each.

6.2 From industrial or similar No No major noise and vibration generating activities are
processes involved in the project, except due to running of
various construction equipments/ machinery & D.G.
Sets during renovation & expansion phase of the
project. Proper maintenance of machineries will reduce
the generation of noise and vibration. All the workers
will be equipped with PPE’s during construction phase
and the D.G. Sets will be installed in acoustic enclosures
with proper padding system to reduce vibration impact.

6.3 From construction or demolition Yes Due to the various construction activities, there will be
short-term noise impacts in the immediate vicinity of
the project site. The construction activities will include
the following noise generating activities:

• Excavation activities etc.

• Concreting and mixing

• Construction plant

• Heavy vehicle movement and

• Operation of D.G. sets

6.4 From blasting or piling No No blasting or mechanized piling will be done in

construction phase, this is a case of “International Level
Cricket Stadium cum Sports Complex” project.

6.5 From construction or Yes Some noise will be generated from vehicular movement

operational traffic in the construction and operational phase.

Local native plants will be use in tree plantation all

around the project site and road side to reduce the
impact of the air and Noise pollution.

6.6 From lighting or cooling systems Yes Cooling system will be efficient & of latest technology.

6.7 From any other sources No There will be no other sources for noise & vibration
generation except the mentioned above.

7. Risks of contamination of land or water from releases of pollutants into the ground or into
sewers, surface waters, groundwater, coastal waters or the sea:

7.1 From handling, storage, use or No Used oil from D.G. sets will be handled with care, it
spillage of hazardous materials will be stored in HDPE drums and provided to
authorized vendor. Hence, no risk of contamination is
envisaged.

7.2 From discharge of sewage or No The total water requirement of the project will be
other effluents to water or the 927.10 KLD during peak days (which will be included
land(expected mode and place the fresh water requirement of 314.50 KLD and
of discharge) recycled treated water requirement of 612.60 KLD for
flushing) & 171.50 KLD during non-peak days (which
will be included the fresh water requirement of 113
KLD and recycled treated water requirement of 58.50
KLD for flushing). The waste water generated from the
project site will be treated in STP of Capacity 170 KLD,
treated water will be reuse for green area, flushing,
HVAC/D.G. Cooling & Road Washing etc.

7.3 By deposition of pollutants No Minor Air emissions will be generated due to increased
emitted to air into the land or vehicular movement and occasional use of D.G. sets for
into water which effective measures will be taken like adequate
greenbelt development and use of low sulphur diesel in
D.G. sets etc. So there would not be any deposition of
pollutants emitted to air, land or water.

7.4 From any other sources No No any other sources are involved except the
mentioned above.

7.5 Is there a risk of long term build No Likelihood of such an event is not foreseen till now in
up of pollutants in the the area and suitable measures will be adopt to control
environment from these sources? and reduce emission, so that there will be no such risk

project site. No industrial or process activity is
involved in this project hence chances of chemical
hazards and accidents are minimal. However, suitable
fire fighting measures will be provided to reduce
chances of fire-accidents.

8.2 From any other causes No No any other causes are involved except the
mentioned above.

8.3 Could the project be affected by Yes The area under study falls in Zone-II, according to
natural disasters causing the Indian Standard Seismic Zoning Map. Suitable
environmental damage (e.g. seismic coefficients in horizontal and vertical
floods, earthquakes, landslides, directions respectively, have to be a d o p t e d w h i l e
