Stainless Product Philippines

Stainless Products Philippines (SPP) is a small size manufacturing firm with a wide

assortment of resistance-welded wire products , in general analyzing the situation the

stainless product Philippines want to expand production, but has the following problems

#1 Mr Cruz and Secretary man handles the entire business

Implication: If you are the owner of the business and that you handle almost all of the

business process you are opening yourself to the risk of burned out, as the owner of the

business should for the decision making of the company

#2 the supervision of a salaried foreman who has almost complete supervision of the

workforce of thirty five men

Implication: Allowing so much responsibility and power to one person in the

organization, opens the company to the risk of being defrauded by said person. Even

though the person is valuable it is almost always not a good idea to allow this to

happen.

#3 Customers are not clear when stating their needs.

Implication: when customers are not sure about their needs, it means that our product

placement is not correctly placed. It results in confusion and customer disastisfactions

#4 Job Order operations

Implication: If a company is on a Job order basis when it comes to its operation, it will

result in stoppage in production, if this is to happen sales will go down which results in

lower sales.
Recommendations:

If you are going to improve the process of the organization, make sure to remove a lot

of employees who do not accept change.

But of course, we cannot do that, but instead train the employees about the change in

management make the understand that what is important is not the old ways but the

most efficient way of Process of Production.

Though effective we will never improve if we keep on maintaining the old way of

production and thus change must be implemented.

Next:

Create a Policy that allows a customer to effectively demand for their orders , clear and

concise. This will increase customer satisfaction as well as ensure that ordering is not a

chore and more of an easy way of accessing our organization.

Finally to Improve the process of the organization, ensure that a Job Order basis is only

used when mass production is required by the current market.

Rationale: if we are going to allow a job order basis for every production we do, it results

in more exposure to risk , one of the first risk is that the employees that are under job

order will always be replaced and changed. Next risk is that we will constantly require to

train our Job order employees this will result to added cost as the Time and Mastery

would no longer be implemented.

Learning curve of the employees will no longer be a factor as they are job ordered so

we recommend to make sure that we have a regular employees for production to

ensure continued production as well as reduce the risk of Stock Out.
