To Whom It May Concern:

I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Benjamin Schoo. I write this
letter without hesitation. In twenty-four years of teaching, Ben is one of only a few students who have
truly shown the definitions of hard-work and respect. His work ethic, intelligence and overall drive to get
the most of himself has been second to none. Mr. Schoo is on his way to becoming the kind of young
adult that we would hope our own children would grow up to be.

I have known Ben for two years. He is ahead of the majority of kids his own age. He carries himself
in a manner second to none. His respect for classmates, teachers and the community is a true example
to all who know him. Ben’s list of extracurricular activities also shows his willingness to help others and
contribute to society in a positive way. The best example I can give to explain Ben’s attributes is the time
he volunteered to help with our football and basketball programs. As a manager and coach’s assistant,
he was a vital cog in the wheel that made daily practices function.

Academically, Mr. Schoo is one of the strongest in his class. As a junior, he finished the year in my
U.S. History and Economics class with one of the top ten grade point averages. This is impressive, as I
taught over one hundred and fifty students in History/Economics that year. He is the kind of student that
is nothing short of what we as educators define as the perfect student. His work was always done on
time and he took interest in learning new material.

It is quite obvious by looking at Ben’s resume and transcripts that he is a model student and person.
His willingness to go the extra mile and ability to get things done is second to none. Ben’s intelligence,
work ethic and respect for others will take him a long way in life. What he needs now is the opportunity to
do so. I see absolutely no risk in awarding Mr. Schoo an undergraduate admission into your university.
