PERSONAL PROFILE

I am fresh graduate in Bachelor in Mechatronics with Hons student at the University Malaysia
Pahang. I have developed excellent analytical and skills through my internship at Western Digital
Kuching and GET Technologies Sdn. Bhd. I am now looking to further develop and use skills in new
industry placement, especially in mechatronics engineering.

EXPERIENCE

Diploma Final Year Project

As final year students, we are required to do a project that apply all the knowledge we
gained from the past three years in GMI. We are required to form a group consist of five member
and be guide by one supervisor. The project name is “National Courier Self-Service Machine”. This
name gives a direct meaning that our machine can provide a self-service treatment for customers at
national courier office. The machine is used to send a parcel to desired destination without needed
to queue up at the counter. Customers no longer need to queue up for a long period of time at the
counter especially for customer with a packed time table. Our type of machine is sorting and
processing machine. We use Siemen S7-200 as main controller of our project. Our project cost
around RM14000 that had been sponsor by our management. I involve in electrical installation in
PLC and mechanical parts. Our project has been chosen as the best final project in mechatronics.

Internship at HGST Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Western Digital)

As a part of graduation requirements, I undergo an industrial training program for duration

of maximum of one semester from 13th June 2016 until 28th October 2016. HGST Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
is a subsidiary of Western Digital Company develops advanced hard disk drives, enterprise-class solid
state drives, and innovative external storage solutions. I have learned a lot of things during my
training. I involve in preventive maintenance team. I had been given opportunity to do all preventive
maintenance on DPCL machine one of minor machine until some of the workers though me as
technician in this company. I learn many things with my team especially on procedure to be a
technician and mechanical part on maintenance machine.
Internship at GET Technologies Sdn. Bhd.

GET Technologies Sdn. Bhd. provide automation solution in manufacturing industry which
improve the productivity of the company. The main project that I involved during my internship
period was Hershey’s Project. The purpose of the project is to produce an automation machine to
improve the productivity of the company by arrange the Hershey’s chocolate that had been
packaged into a box. Basically, this machine consists of three station. The first station provides
chocolates boxes that involved in overall process. The second station is pick and place the chocolates
into the box using three robots. The third station is to closed the boxes that had been arranged with
chocolates neatly.

Degree Final Year Project

As final year students, we are required to do a research that apply all the knowledge we
gained from the past four years in UMP. In my research, FPGA will be implemented based on FSM on
line following system. FSM is overall system control process that known behavior of the system using
three main things which are state, event, and action. In one phase flow, the system should be in one
active state. The system may either to another state or shift to another state depending on input or
event. Current advances in Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language
(VHDL) is highly used in designing a system-based FSM to develop directly to hardware. FPGA is the
best platform in various engineering application due to the flexibility and highest-level performance
in configuring different type of engineering application. This research includes on analysis using
different number of sensor and the comparison between FPGA and Arduino.

Robot Competition

Most of my robotics experience has come from my involvement in robotics club since
primary school. The first involvement in this field is National Robotics Competition in 2007. Next, my
journey in the field of robotics continued in secondary school. I participated in MRSM Robofair in
2009, 2010 and 2012. I also join my team for Malaysia International Robot Competition (MIRoC) in
2013. Besides of that, I join some of open fighting robot competition during my diploma in 2015. My
last involvement in field of robotics is National Instruments ARC 2019, ABU Asia-Pacific Robot
Contest (ABU Robocon) 2018 and University Robot Competition (Urock) 2018. Most of my
involvement is on mechanical parts and also in electrical part. I believe that my experiences give me
advantages in engineering field for my future preparation.
