ma’am just with de Leon and cases
though, so I’m sure ikaw din.
Answer all exam questions with codal
provisions. Which means, memorize
the codal.
ON PAST EXAMS
Helpful in a sense na malaman mo
anong paboritong topic ni ma’am na
itanong. But memorizing answers
(pwera na lang kung definition yan)
isn’t advisable.
For general principles:

2. Cases
Madali lang ang first exam. No joke.
Haha. Pero assuming na wala pa ka
nabasa ug Aban and Reyes, basaha
pud to in addition to these when
preparing for the exam. Bugat, I know.
But short lang man ang coverage sa
first exam. It shouldn’t be a big deal.

Donalvo doesn’t recycle exam
questions kay gamay palang iyang test
bank. Si Dean ang mas likely to
recycle. So read the past
questionnaires and try to answer them
on the day of the exam, to test kung
naa ba gyud kay nahibal-an.
Memorize the codal as much as
possible.
Dili na nagagawas ang cases sa exam, I
tell you. The cases are good for future
reference, pero ang exam ni ma’am
matubag with expert knowledge of
the Rules of Court lang. So memorize

Most common struggle with the first sem:

1. How to balance time for Tax and Provrem?
Nagabasa ko daan ug Provrem on weekends, like Sundays. I know medyo nerdy thing to do, but it really helps save time for Tuesdays. Halimbawa
makatunga ko sa 20 cases nako for Provrem, that means I can finish the other half sa Tuesday morning and use Tuesday afternoon for Tax. Gamay na
sakripiso ra gud na oy. 4 hours on a Sunday isn’t bad.

2. Kaya basahon tanang cases for tanang subjects?

LOL. That’s like asking if sharks eat vegetables. No, I can’t. Pero I tried my best. Which is why I encourage digest pools for the following subjects:
Succession, BusOrg and Tax. Daghan kayo nig cases na mga subjects, and I really think the cases do their best to concretize the abstract, so read them if
you can.
 3. Asa ibutang ang time na magstudy para sa exams?
Ikaw na bahala. Haha. But I’m able to do most of my reading on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mornings for exams, afternoons for daily
subjects. Kapuy pero ana man gyud ang life. Haha.
In sum, this will be the most challenging semester of your law school life. BUT it will also be one of the most enjoyable. Ngano? Kay everything you studied for
the past two years will begin to make sense in your head, and makasugod na mog grasp sa bigger picture, which is the point of the study of law. So kapit lang—
you’re one year closer to preparing yourself for the bar. Good luck! 
