To every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth.
28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Maranatha "To prepare a people to stand in the day of God, a great work of reform was to
be accomplished [by the Advent Movement]. God saw that many of His professed people
were not building for eternity, and in His mercy He was about to send a message of
warning to arouse them from their stupor and lead them to make ready for the coming of
the Lord. {Mar 173.1}
This warning is brought to view in Revelation 14. Here is a threefold message
represented as proclaimed by heavenly beings and immediately followed by the coming
of the Son of man to reap "the harvest of the earth." {Mar 173.2}

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having
the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and
to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his
judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the
fountains of waters.
14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great
city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship
the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no
rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the
mark of his name.
14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of
God, and the faith of Jesus.
14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead
which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their
labours; and their works do follow them.
14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one] sat like unto
the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

LS The angels are represented as flying in the midst of heaven, proclaiming to the world
a message of warning, and having a direct bearing upon the people living in the last days
of this earth's history. No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to
represent the people of God who are working in harmony with the universe of
heaven. Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God, and sanctified through the
truth, proclaim the three messages in their order. {LS 429.1}

FLB "I saw another mighty angel commissioned to descend to the earth, to unite his
voice with the third angel, and give power and force to his message. {FLB 335.2}

Maranatha "The three angels' messages are to be combined, giving their threefold light to
the world. In the Revelation, John says, "I saw another angel come down from heaven,
having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory."... This represents the
giving of the last and threefold message of warning to the world. {Mar 173.4}

Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven,
having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is
fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage
of every unclean and hateful bird.
18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the
kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are
waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that
ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

FLB "A work of worldwide extent and unwonted power is here foretold. {FLB 335.3}
Great power and glory were imparted to the angel, and as he descended, the earth was
lightened with his glory. The light which attended this angel penetrated everywhere,
as he cried mightily, with a strong voice, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is
become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird." Rev. 18:2.

Maranatha "Revelation 18 points to the time when, as the result of rejecting the threefold
warning of Revelation 14:6-12, the church will have fully reached the condition foretold
by the second angel, and the people of God still in Babylon will be called upon to
separate from her communion. This message is the last that will ever be given to the
world; and it will accomplish its work. When those that "believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:12), shall be left to receive strong
delusion and to believe a lie, then the light of truth will shine upon all whose hearts are
open to receive it, and all the children of the Lord that remain in Babylon will heed the
call: "Come out of her, my people" (Revelation 18:4). {Mar 173.5}

FLB "Angels were sent to aid the mighty angel from heaven, and I heard voices which
seemed to sound everywhere, "Come out of her, my people." . . . The glory of God rested
upon the patient, waiting saints, and they fearlessly gave the last solemn warning,
proclaiming the fall of Babylon and calling upon God's people to come out of her that
they might escape her fearful doom. {FLB 335.5}
The light that was shed upon the waiting ones penetrated everywhere, and those in the
churches who had any light, who had not heard and rejected the three messages, obeyed
the call and left the fallen churches. {FLB 335.6}

II - Identifying the conditions for Christ's Second Coming

1. The proclamation of the true gospel in all the world
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for
a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
2. The complete fall of Babylon and God's retribution
Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven,
saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
19:2 For true and righteous [are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore,
which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his
servants at her hand.
19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
3. Christ leave the heavenly sanctuary and dresses His kingly robes
19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God
that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants,
and ye that fear him, both small and great.
19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God
omnipotent reigneth.
4. The Remnant Church is triumphant and ready to receive the Lamb
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb
is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:
for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

III - Who are call to take part in this last and final work of mercy?
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while
I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of
Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me.
24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and
to rise from the dead the third day:
24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city
of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
FLB "Every one who has received Christ is called to work for the salvation of his fellow
men. "The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come." Rev.
22:17. The charge to give this invitation includes the entire church. Every one who has
heard the invitation is to echo the message from hill and valley, saying, "Come." {FLB
308.2}
...The humble, consecrated believer upon whom the Master of the vineyard places a
burden for souls, is to be given encouragement by the men upon whom the Lord has laid
larger responsibilities. Those who stand as leaders in the church of God are to realize that
the Saviour's commission is given to all who believe in His name. God will send forth
into His vineyard many who have not been dedicated to the ministry by the laying on of
hands. {FLB 308.3}
... Let them understand that there is a large work to be done outside the pulpit, by
thousands of consecrated lay members. {FLB 308.4}

Luke 8:38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he
might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
8:39 Return to thine own house, and show how great things God hath done unto
thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things
Jesus had done unto him.
8:40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people [gladly] received
him: for they were all waiting for him

Matthew 21:28 But what think ye? A [certain] man had two sons; and he came to the
first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
21:29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [go],
sir: and went not.
21:31 Whether of them twain did the will of [his] father? They say unto him, The first.
Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into
the kingdom of God before you.

FE "God purposes to set in operation agencies in your own country to aid in this great
work of enlightening the world. He designs to employ you and your children as soldiers
to act a part in this aggressive warfare against the powers of darkness, and you surely will
not ignore God's blessing, and regard lightly the privilege extended to you! He would
have you engage in the conflict, striving together for His glory, not seeking for the
supremacy, not striving to exalt self by depreciating others. He would endow you with
the true missionary spirit, which elevates, purifies, and ennobles whatever it touches,
making pure and good and noble all who voluntarily come under its influence; for every
agent who co-operates with the heavenly intelligences will be endued with power from
on high, and represent the character of Christ. The missionary spirit enables us to
appreciate more fully the words of the Lord's prayer, when He directs us to pray, "Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." The missionary spirit
broadens our thoughts, and brings us into union with all who have a comprehension of
the expanding influence of the Holy Spirit. {FE 209.1}
FLB The Lord has appointed the youth to be His helping hand. {FLB 332.2}
Many a lad of today, growing up as did Daniel in his Judean home, studying God's
Word and His works, and learning the lessons of faithful service, will yet stand in
legislative assemblies, in halls of justice, or in royal courts, as a witness for the King of
kings. . . . {FLB 332.3}
With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon
the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole
world! {FLB 332.4}

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the
Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens
shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons]
ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,
3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the
heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness.
3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may
be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

FLB "Long has God waited for the spirit of service to take possession of the whole
church, so that every one shall be working for Him according to his ability. When the
members of the church of God do their appointed work in the needy fields at home and
abroad, in fulfillment of the gospel commission, the whole world will soon be warned,
and the Lord Jesus will return to this earth with power and great glory. {FLB 308.5}

Conclusion:
a. Success is granted by God to all who will get involved
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye
shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth.
"The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of
God than marked its opening. The prophecies which were fulfilled in the outpouring of
the former rain at the opening of the gospel, are again to be fulfilled in the latter rain at its
close. . . ." {FLB 332.5}

b. Two options are before us:

1. If we neglect to fulfill our mission. "If we refuse to let our light shine for the
Master, if we do not do the works of God, others will do that very work which we might
have done and could have done, but refused to do. When we cease to fulfill our mission,
when the candlestick refuses to reflect light, and the great truths committed to us
individually in trust for the world, are not given to them, then the candlestick will be
removed. "I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his
place." Another will be placed in his stead and will shine. RH, June 7, 1887 par. 17
2. If we take gladly the privilege. "I have read of a man who, journeying on a
winter's day through the deep, drifted snow, became benumbed by the cold which was
almost imperceptibly stealing away his vital powers. And as he was nearly chilled to
death by the embrace of the frost king, and about to give up the struggle for life, he heard
the moans of a brother traveler, who was perishing with cold as he was about to perish.
His humility was aroused to rescue him. He chafed the ice-clad limbs of the unfortunate
man, and, after considerable effort, raised him to his feet; and as he could not stand, he
bore him in sympathizing arms through the very drifts he had thought he could never
succeed in getting through alone. And when he had borne his fellow traveler to a place of
safety, the truth flashed home to him that in saving his neighbor he had saved himself
also. His earnest efforts to save another quickened the blood which was freezing in his
own veins, and created a healthful warmth in the extremities of the body. These lessons
must be forced upon young believers continually, not only be precept, but by example,
that in their Christian experience they may realize similar results.--Testimonies, vol. 4,
pp. 319, 320. {ChS 92.3}
"God has a work for His people to do for the world, and if they will work in harmony
with one another and with heaven, He will demonstrate His power in their behalf as He
did for His first disciples on the day of Pentecost." {FLB 332.8}

Appeal:
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own
blood, suffered without the gate.
13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

"We are to follow where God's providence opens the way; and as we advance, we shall
find that Heaven has moved before us, enlarging the field for labor far beyond the
proportion of our means and ability to supply. The great want of the field open before us,
should appeal to all to whom God has intrusted talents of means or ability, that they may
devote themselves and their all to God. We are to be as faithful stewards, not only of our
means, but of the grace given unto us, that many souls may be brought under the blood-
stained banner of Prince Immanuel. The purposes and ends to be attained by consecrated
missionaries are very comprehensive. The field for missionary operation is not limited by
caste or nationality. The field is the world, and the light of truth is to go to all the dark
places of the earth in a much shorter time than many think possible." {FE 208.2}
