The second Formal English Test
: The text
Last weekend was great for Karen. She flew to London
with her best friend, Dorothy.
They bought their ticket two weeks ago.They arrived at
London Heathrow Airport early in the morning. They took the
bus from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was lovely and
surrounded with huge trees. They were both tired after the trip,
so they decided to have a nap. They took the sightseeing bus
and enjoyed it. The bus trip lasted for about two hours and
they were hungry. They got off the bus and went a
restaurant. They had a great dinner there. After dinner, they
went back to the hotel. It was a tiring day but they didn’t
want to stay at the hotel. They relaxed for an hour and went
out.
Next day, they got up early and had breakfast in a café near the bridge. The tiring
and exciting tour began again. They did the shopping. They visited the museums and
took some photos.
They had to turn back. They arrived at the airport and flew to their hometown. It
was a wonderful holiday.
