b. Motivation The teacher will play a short video clip on the latest and most catchy advertisements. And the srudents will observe it with the help
of the following guide questions:
 1. What have you noticed with the advertisements that were shown?
2. Do you think advertisements show authenticity?
3. Share your experience whether or not the claims of the advertisements you have watched tells the truth.

II. FIRM UP
a. The teacher will discuss the following topics:

1. Detecting propaganda, its nature, purpose, and types

2. Understanding argumentation and debate
3. Learning about advertisements

III. DEEPEN Answer Exercise 10 and 11 on page 157

IV. TRANSFER A. The students will be grouped and will create their own advertisement with the help of their knowledge on the types of propaganda
discussed.

B. The students will be grouped into 2 , given their topics, the teacher will initiate a debate between the opposing teams

C. On their assigned claim, the students will write a short argumentative essay.
