TEAM 3 GRADE 11 DEBATE CLB : Chrissy, Franky, Tommy.

TOPIC : ONLINE EDUCATION IS BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL ONE.

INTRODUCE : Good morning everyone, This is Chrissy, Franky and Tommy ! We’re from grade 11 ‘s
debate club . We’re very glad to see all of you guys who sitting here!

PROS:

I. 3 minutes.
So the point I would like to tell you today is “ Online education is better than traditional one .” To
begin with the convenience which relation to study location, time, course duration,… As you may know
that if we study online, we won’t need to waste time for commuting or traveling time to campus. And
of cause you have no geographic location constraint in selecting the learning options. Moreover,
students have more agreeable of no learning pace constraint, they can learn at their own pace and study
at their convenience! For who have poor-communicating, they won’t verbally expressing constraint if
they study online. By this I mean they can express themselves in writing rather than verbally. Definitely,
students can have virtual discussion rather instructor-led lecture. It is more wonderful that course
work and instructions can highly be customized to their field and subject area . As far as I can concerned,
the high quality dialog make learner is able to carefully reflect his/her quality thinking on each comment
from others before responding or moving on to the next topic. Plus, Learning online may boost students
centered, that mean students are expected to read all of their classmate’s contributions, but they nay
actively engaged only in those parts of the contribution most relevant to their needs. Not only that, but
also it access to resources. In fact, it is easy to include guest experts or students from other institutions as
well as access to resources and information around the world.

Eventhough … (take note ideals ), you can’t deny that learning online is less expensive than tradition
learning. Generally these courses cost less than regular classroom academic or trade school course and
class attendee can continue to work at his/her job while taking classes.

On top of that, you can work on course just about anywhere you have computer access. Online courses
provide an opportunity to learn new technologies and practicing the use of office software, Internet, …

Finaly, learning online have a lot of additional benefits such as:

- Befriends! What I’m trying to say is students will work with classmates not only from all over the
Vietnam but could be around the world.

- And the best thing is we have no discrimination among students due to race, sex, sexual
orientation, religion, nationality, age, dress, physical appearance, etc.
- The equal participation from all classmates and the most outgoing student will not
monopolize the discussion.
