I found this article on the Sudbury star online newspaper. The article is called ³police chief issues
statement on long-gun registry. The article talks about Frank J Elsner (Greater Sudbury chief of police)
making a statement about the long-gun registry. This is relevant to my topic because my topic is the
debate on the long-gun registry. The Quality of the source is good, the information given is well written.

This article talks about Stephen Harper and the conservative party and their efforts on
trying to kill the long-gun registry which has been around for 15 years (1995). Stephen Harper
called it ³costly and ineffective´ This is relevant because they are debating once again whether
they should keep or abolish the long-gun registry. The quality of the source is good; it¶s easy to
read and also has reliable information.

Thomas, J. (2010, November, 2). Firearms offender registry should replace long gun registry.

This article is a response to Mr. Goetz's letter (Gun Owners Should Want to Register
Firearms Oct 28), the article talks about the ineffectiveness of the long-gun registry, and how
they should just use the money that they are spending on the long-gun registry, and create
another registry called the firearms offender registry. This is a good source it provided me with
clear and concise information on my topic.

debate/

This article is about Toronto¶s mayoral candidates George Smitherman, Rob Ford and
Joe Pantalone on Newstalk 1010 and their heated debate about a federal issue, the long-gun
registry. This is relevant to my topic because this article talks about another debate of whether
we should keep or get rid of the gun registry. This is a good source because the candidates all
have good arguments during their debate.
