In conclusion, bullying happens everywhere.

It happens at school, online, at work, in

relationships, etc. Bullying happens within all age groups. This is an important community topic

because as a society, we should ensure that all children and people are safe and can have the

integrity to blossom into the person they want to be. Bullying hinders people from following

their dreams or reaching their fullest potential as a member of society. Every person should have

the same opportunity to fit in and to create real relationships amongst each other without the fear

of being held back by bullying.

From the videos that are posted on my website, they provide vital information on

bullying. The first video gives information on who is affected by bullying. The second video

provides conversations between students on what they would do in a situation where they

witness bullying and conversations on how to be more prepared in a bullying situation. The third

video talks about the experience a woman with disabilities had in school with bullying. She was

bullied for being in a wheelchair but by being in the wheelchair, she discovered a hobby for

gaming where she met many friends. These friends stood up for her when she was bullied.

Finally, the fourth video is an interview amongst students on inclusion. These videos educated

me on different aspects of bullying and what it could do to a person. I hope these videos were

just as educational for you all as well!

To continue, I provided some websites that are geared toward educating people on

bullying and how to get involved. The website I found most helpful was the PACER website. It

is a national bullying preventer center that educates and inspires a nation to take action for safe
and supportive environments for school-age youth. It gives tools for parents and how they can

get involved and see signs of bullying as well. The website has tools for educators as resources

on how to educate students on bullying. I have navigated through this whole website and will be

using some of the resources in my classroom and I am so eager to start! I think the best way to

teach prevention is to be educated!

Lastly, I posted some scholarly articles that also provide in depth information about

bullying. I pulled these articles from New York Times, Sage Journals, and journals of education

and practice. These articles cover aspects of bullying from the causes and effects, signs of

bullying, the statistics, and many more.

There are many proactive steps that can be taken by people in society to put a stop to

bullying. Helping students understand bullying can be the first step in the right direction. Having

uncomfortable conversations is a must. If we talk about what bullying is and how to stand up to

it safely more often, students will know how to handle bullying situations appropriately. Keeping

lines of communication open can be helpful also. Check in with students, friends, coworkers,

family, etc., often. Checking in with loved ones is a way for them to feel confident and safe

opening up about what is going on. Be the change!
