NATURE NURTURE

Creativity is more an act of Nurture than

Nature, unlike IQ (Reznikoff, et al, 1973)
What the Research
SAID

Testing twins aged 15 to 22 | only about

30 percent of the performance of
identical twins on a battery of ten 2/3 of our
creativity tests could be attributed to innovation skills
genetics. Christensen

Academic and medical research supports
the idea that innovative tendencies are

CHANGES

Unfortunately......
Changes, are the most
difficult things to do
Why it can be happened?

To maintain the status quo is to keep the things the way they presently are.
Barriers to Creativity
Barriers to Creativity
#1 Fear of UNKNOWN

Remember when we were just little toddlers? In

normal circumstances we had no problem failing.

Yet, again, once we start to grow up the harder it

becomes. Harder not because we lack focus or
dedication, but because we have fear.
#2 Fear of LOOKING STUPID

We still try to make ourselves

accepted by whatever group we
find ourselves in because we feel
that we need to.

We have been taught to have a

desire to fit in. The need to fit in
means that we cannot try to be
better than anyone else, because
that would alienate us from them
#3 Never GET STARTED

Too much discussion on

idea, trying to make it
perfect before even try it!
