[PROJECT: LET THE WINTER BE COMFORTABLE FOR ALL] To Be Implemented By: WE

Concept: Bangladesh is a densely populated country where 75% of the people earns their livelihood by working in
agricultural sector. Among the rest 25% people, 0.68% people hasn’t any shelter and most of them lives in Dhaka city
as beggars. Point to be noted that, this is a statistics before pandemic period, which has increased in recent days. Also,
the number is only of the registered beggars by City Corporation where a lot of others may be missed. This 2, 50, 000
persons who are living without any shelter are vulnerable in terms of their health in general. The next winter is coming
with very low temperature prediction according to the Office of Weather Administration, Bangladesh.

This year “WE” a student platform for social work led by a group of youth students from Bangladesh University of
Professionals have decided to gather winter-clothes and donations from different individuals and respected
organizations to help the poor Bangladeshi street-dwellers to fight the heavy-cold weather.

Target Community: Street Dwellers, Beggars, Without-Shelter-Old-aged-community


Target Population: 10,000 persons
Target Areas: Komlapur Railway Station, Bosila slums, Azimpur Slum, Airport Railway Station, Farmgate Area
footpaths, Shantinagar area footpaths, Gulistan area footpaths, Jatrabari area footpaths, Kalabagan area footpaths,
Wari area footpaths, Rampura area footpaths, Khilgaon area footpaths, Banglamotor area footpaths and North Dhaka
other area footpaths.

 We will be providing Blankets in the criteria below

 We will be visiting the areas and will estimate the number of required winter-clothes for that area. Also, we will
be providing cards to the community who’ll attend on the next day.
 Followed by the previous action, we will be allocating the blankets to the community.
 Those who hasn’t the card, will register and get the winter clothes from 10 specific booths in different places.

Fund Collection Strategies: We are expecting 10% of the fund to be raised by individual contribution and 90%
from the CSR fund of different corporate firms and companies.

PR Plan: Newspaper Coverage, Radio Programmes, Posters & leaflets (miscellaneous at cost schedule), facebook-
lives, facebook events, instagram influencers, youtube ads through youtubers

Monitoring & Evaluation Plan: A 10 youth team will be collecting all the data for keeping the transparency and
submit those to the advisors of the youth group of WE. Also, they wi`ll keep a record for future.
