V. A. INTRODUCTION
THE LESSON WILL BE INTRODUCED BY THE TEACHER ASKING THE STUDENTS WHAT THEY KNOW
ABOUT DEMAND.
DAY 1
PROCEDURES
THE TEACHER WILL PRESENT A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ON DEMAND. THE TEACHER WILL
EXPLAIN WHAT DEMAND IS AND HOW IT CAN CHANGE.
DAY 2
PROCEDURES
THE TEACHER WILL FINISH THE POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ON DEMAND. THE TEACHER WILL
EXPLAIN HOW DEMAND CAN CHANGE WITH PRICE.
ACTIVITIES
THE TEACHER WILL THEN SHOW THE STUDENTS TWO NEWS STORIES. THE STUDENTS WILL
THEN ANSWER A SERIES OF QUESTIONS ON THESE VIDEOS. THEY WILL THEN BE DISCUSSED AS A
CLASS.
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
HAVING A DISCUSSION OF THE QUESTIONS CAN HELP STUDENTS BETTER PROCESS THE MATERIAL
WHILE CONNECTING IT TO REAL-LIFE EVENTS.
CONTENT
THE NEWS STORY VIDEOS HELPED STUDENTS WHO WERE VISUAL LEARNERS. THEY HELPED
THEM SEE HOW THE MATERIAL WAS CONNECTED TO REAL LIFE.
D. CLOSURE (SUMMARY)
THE LESSON WILL BE CLOSED BY DISCUSSING HOW DEMAND CAN CHANGE WITH PRICE.
VI. ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION
THE QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION FROM THE VIDEOS ACTED AS AN ASSESSMENT FOR THE STUDENTS TO SEE
IF THEY UNDERSTOOD THE MATERIAL. THE STUDENTS WERE ALSO ASSESSED BY THE TEACHER ASKING WHAT
THEY KNEW.

VIII. SELF-EVALUATION
THE DISCUSSION ACTIVITY DID NOT GO AS PLANNED. WHEN I WROTE IT, I FELT THAT THE QUESTIONS WERE
GOOD. WHEN I ACTUALLY DISCUSSED THEM WITH THE STUDENTS, THIS DID NOT PROVE TRUE. THEY
SEEMED TO BE TOO SIMILAR TO EACH OTHER. WHEN DOING THIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE, I WILL MAKE SURE
THAT THE QUESTIONS I WRITE ARE BETTER.
It did not go terribly. The students seemed to be engaged and would also ask questions. I
felt much more prepared to teach Economics after I had to take over for a Co-op for a few
days a month or so back.
