THE LESSON WILL BE INTRODUCED BY THE TEACHER ASKING THE STUDENTS WHAT THEY KNOW
ABOUT ROME.

DAY 1

PROCEDURES

THE TEACHER WILL PRESENT A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION DESCRIBING ROME’S ORIGINS


AND
A BASIC OVERVIEW OF THE EMPIRE’S PLACE IN WORLD HISTORY. THE STUDENTS WILL ALSO
LEARN ABOUT HOW THE ROMAN ARMY IS SET UP.

DAY 2

PROCEDURES

THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN ABOUT BASIC ROMAN WEAPONRY, AND ARMOR. A VIDEO WILL BE
SHOWN FROM THE MOVIE GLADIATOR TO HELP SHOW THE USE OF WEAPONS.

DAY 3

PROCEDURES

THE TEACHER WILL FINISH THE SECTION ON BACKGROUND INFORMATION IN THE POWERPOINT
WITH DISCUSSING INFRASTRUCTURE.

WERE THE STUDENTS ENGAGED WITH THE LESSON?

YES, THE STUDENTS SEEMED TO BE ENGAGED WITH THE MATERIAL. THERE WERE SOME THAT WOULD
ASK QUESTIONS, BUT NOT MANY. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THE MATERIAL AND CLASS MORE ENGAGING FOR
THEM IN THE FUTURE.

What could have gone better?

The use of the video was not as good as I thought. I was not as accurate as I had hoped. I will
try to find a better video to explain the material in the future.
