 Framing:
W divides the packets received from the network
layer into manageable data unit called frames.

W Link Layer.

transmission facility, to a reliable link.

receiver.

Wrror control: adds reliability by adding mechanism to
detect and retransmit damaged or lost frame

 Provides

 IsWresponsible for the source-to-destination delivery of a
packet, possibly across multiple networks (links).

connected together to create an internetwork (a network of
networks) or a large network, the connecting devices
(called routers or gateways) route or switch the packets to
