Essay

From the module on Learner-Centered Psychological Principles, I realized that there are many
factors you need to consider for a learners to be learned such as cognitive and metacognitive,
motivational and effective, developmental and social, and individual differences factor. In doing
this moral rule, it may be internal nor holistic. It involves here the learning strategies for the
learners to enhance their language learning experience. It should involve the choice on the part of
the learner, involve conscious selection, goal directed, and effort.
In the cognitive and metacognitive factor, you need to plan, control, and assess their own
development. And these are mental processes, conscious and unconscious with which the
understanding of language, its assimilation, its storage in memory, its recovery and its later use
are improved. It is about gaining knowledge by trying to put in practice what they have learned.
Also, it is about elaborating an outline of what has been learned. While in motivation and affective
factor is about motivation to learn, in turn, is influenced by the individuals' motivational states,
beliefs, habits of thinking, goals and interests, without learner's motivation to learn, the willingness
to exert this effort is unlikely without coercion.

The developmental and social factor is within and across physical, intellectual and social domains
is taken into account. Interactions, interpersonal relationships and communication with others can
create positive learning community. Lastly the individual's differences, remember, individuals are
born with and must develop their own capabilities and talents. Motivation and achievement are
enhanced when individual differences are taken into court. Standardized can help in attaining
successful learning outcomes.
