We so often lack motivation when we learn something, doing what we love, just being in this world.

There is no single, set way to make every person feel inspired. That’s because we are all different and
are inspired by different things. But you need to learn what works for you and one of the best ways to
do this, is to think about what you were doing the last few times you felt inspired. I haven't thought
about this for so long. And I decided that the day of the English language can be devoted to inspiration
by reading quotes in English.

From time to time, we all need a motivational boost. Most of us enjoy a good read, whether it is a novel
that moves us to tears, a play that intrigues or a poem that rouses our passions, a piece of well-written
literature can have an impact on our emotions, on our behavior and on our value-systems. But there are
very few of us who can recall a piece of writing verbatim and even from our language. There are specific
quotes however, that stay with us. And personally, when I read them in English, I am inspired by them
twice as much.

The Dalai Lama is one of the most beloved and inspirational figures of the last century. I believe that
everyone should at least look with one eye at his statements, quotes and strong words.

1. “You have to start giving first and expect absolutely nothing.”

2. “Never give up. No matter what is happening, no matter what is going on around you, never give up.”

3. “Through difficult experiences, life sometimes becomes more meaningful.”

4. “Follow the three R’s: – Respect for self. – Respect for others. – Responsibility for all your actions.”

5. “If your heart has peace, nothing can disturb you.”

6. “The ultimate source of my mental happiness is my peace of mind. Nothing can destroy this except
my own anger.”

7. “Forget the failures. Keep the lessons.”

8. “Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.”

9. “If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love others. You will not be able to love others. If you have no
compassion for yourself then you are not able of developing compassion for others.”

10. “If you have peace of mind, when you meet with problems and difficulties they won’t disturb your
inner peace. You’ll be able to employ your human intelligence more effectively. But, if your mental state
is disturbed, full of emotion, it is very difficult to cope with problems, because the mind that is full of
emotion is biased, unable to see reality. So whatever you do will be unrealistic and naturally fail.”

11. “When we are caught up in a destructive emotion, we lose one of our greatest assets: our
independence.”
Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings have an amazing ability to change the way we feel about
life. This is why I find them so interesting and crucial on our paths to success.

When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life, sometimes instantly.
Just as positive words can make someone smile or a well-timed humorous quote can make someone
laugh, our thoughts react to the world in real-time.

You can choose absolutely any quotes, let them be from literary works, music or an ordinary person, but
reading them, you will understand that they have some value for you. And if on the day of the English
language you will still be inspired by reading them in English, you will improve your vocabulary, learn
new phrases, words, constructions for you, in addition, immerse yourself even in the culture of the
language.
