Marketing Manager & Area Coach

ARC Restaurants LLC DBA Pizza Hut
1116 Maple Avenue
Dubois, PA 15801

To Prospective Employers and Colleges,

I am writing this letter on behalf of one of my finest employees, Kamrin Stevenson.
Kamrin has been in my employment at the DuBois Pizza Hut for the past 2 years, during his
junior and senior years of high school. During that time, I have had the pleasure of seeing him
develop from a cook into a shift manager. Along the way, he has earned the skills necessary to
flourish in many areas of life. Making pizzas can be hard work for hours at a time which teaches
perseverance in a challenge. Customers are not always the nicest on the phones, teaching him
diplomacy and social skills to appropriately handle any confrontational situations in life. Pizza
making is also a Team activity. You can not run make table, cut table, the fryer, and answer
phones by yourself. It takes a team of people working together to make that happen. I have seen
Kamrin work quickly and efficiently side by side with his coworkers during many $1000 sales
hours. That requires dedication to the company and the task at hand to make our business a
success. We have Kamrin to thank for helping us achieve that success.
Additionally, Kamrin has learned the value of time management by juggling school,
work, and wrestling all at the same time. Not only was he able to make time for all his activities,
but he was able to succeed in all areas too with good grades, great pizzas, and wrestling
championships. Last fall, we held a Pizza Championship among the stores in our franchise.
Kamrin proved his mastery of his pizza making as well as the aforementioned skills by winning
first place for the DuBois location and advancing to the finals. In the final round, he competed
against the winners from all the other stores and managed to secure second place. The challenge
consisted of a written test, speed trials, and accuracy challenges. With all his peers watching,
Kamrin proved that he can perform under pressure and achieve top results.
Recently, Kamrin was promoted to shift manager and earned a whole new set of skills to
assist him with tackling life’s challenges. From cash handling to comprehending reports to
disciplining behavioral issues, he is tackling challenges most 18-year old’s do not face. Most of
all, being a manager means having to take responsibility for not only your own actions, but those
of everyone working underneath you. His main area of responsibility has been overseeing the
training of cook new hires. This is one of the most important tasks in the store as cooks are the
foundation of serving great food. As I know from years of experience, training requires and
extreme amount of patience. The trainees are typical inexperienced kids who have never had a
job before. You must teach them everything from food safety to customer service. His trainees
show mastery in all areas of the store which reflects highly on Kamrin’s leadership skills.
Anyone would be privileged to have him in their organization.
Sincerely,

Jon Connor
