4 step process:

1- identify a central concern

2 - research a strategy to address central concern - reference sources
3 - implement change to strategy to address
4- reassess if change strategy has been successful

Reflection:

I want to improve my confidence and efficiency when performing Orthopedic testing for the
various regions.

While researching online I found studies that show how repetitively doing quizzes can help with
memory and retention of topics (Yang, Razo & Persky, 2019), (Boitshwarelo, Reedy & Billany, 2017). I
created an online quiz using quizlet with all of the orthopedic tests for each region and a fillable
answer box. To receive the correct mark for each question you must describe the test correctly
and the tissues/structures it is testing as well as what a positive test represents. Furthermore,
each question is timed to be able to accurately assess and measure efficiency as well.

I decided to complete the quiz 3 times a week for 4 weeks.

An improvement was clearly demonstrated with a top mark of 54% in week one compared to a
top mark of 96% in week 4. Furthermore, the fastest time of completion achieved in week one
was 15 minutes compared to week 4 which was 9 minutes. This can be seen in the attached
appendix of quiz results.
