OEL DATA COLLECTION/ACQUIREMENT TASK

Salam, due to the current condition and RMCO now, u already know that it is impossible that u can go out and collect the traffic volume data
by yourself. So, for the sake of accomplishing the OEL task given, u need to acquire the secondary data from other source to complete the OEL
task.

Task for data acquirement by students (group-based task)

i. Please choose the location and identify the characteristic of the location to collect data (as the production and attraction is different
for different area). Please be noted that u can choose 2 option for collecting volume data which are:
a. Junction (as chosen by your group before)
b. Straight road (if hard for u to find data for junction)
ii. Find the data based on the location u already choose. You can choose whatever sources, but please match it with your location.
iii. Your data must include morning and evening peak
iv. Analyse it based on the task given in Laboratory Module (Task 1)
v. Please be noted that the proposal is group basis, so please discuss it properly with your group members
In the PROPOSAL, here is the format that your group must include: (make it about 5 to 10 pages only)
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 OBJECTIVE
1.2 SIGNIFICANT OF STUDY
2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW
3.0 METHODOLOGY
3.1 EQUIPMENTS
3.2 PROCEDURE
4.0 DATA OF TRAFFIC VOLUME STUDY
EXAMPLE OF THE TRAFFIC VOLUME DATA (JUNCTION)
Location: Four junction at city centre of Kangar
Time of data collection: Morning and evening peak hour for 15 minutes interval
Notes:
i. In general, more volume at evening peak because people tend to go out for shopping after office hour
ii. At morning people tend to be at office instead of going to the city centre
iii. No huge lorry because usually lorry for transporting the goods is prohibited from entering the city during peak hour
iv. No bicyclist because the provided lane is too busy and not suitable for the cycling
*data must be match/suitable with the chosen location
*please use this example as your data template
