2. There are 36 hours PE contact time per semester, as per CHED Policy, a student may incur a maximum of 8 absences only or 20% of the
total contact hours. A student may be dropped from the subject if there is no valid reason/s for being absent.
2.1 Arriving in class 15 minutes after the start of class is considered LATE.
2.2 Two (2) times late is equivalent to one (1) absent as per PE Dept. House Rule.
3. When a student fails to attend the class due to illness, a medical certificate from a private doctor and or the university physician must be
submiited to the PE faculty concerned upon return to class.
4. For absences due to other reason/s (e.g. official school activities, death of an immediate member of the family etc...) an excuse letter/
certification must be presented to the PE faculty concerned upon return to class.
5. Students who cut/escape classes will be verbally reprimanded on the 1st offense. Referral to the Guidance Office and the Dean's Office
for the 2nd offense for disciplinary action.
6. Only students with scheduled PE class will be allowed to stay in the gym during their period.
7. Student-Athletes, Members of the Dance Troupe, UE Band, Chorale, PEP Squad/Drummers are required to attend for four (4) consecutive
meetings to fill-up the class card form, have it signed by their respective coaches, to be noted by the Sports Coordinator and finally the
PE Director before they are excused from attending the PE class.
