INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

Dear Students,

Here are some important information and instructions for your Math Olympiad online learning
package.

Before Starting of Math Olympiad HBL

Pre-Work Before Every Lesson

Choose your respective level folder and the lesson number/topic that you are preparing for and
perform the pre-work tasks before the lesson. The tasks will be in the form of a powerpoint file
with some hyperlinks for you to watch videos or online exercises pertaining to the topic. The
webinar should be ready latest by 2 days prior to the lesson for the particular topic.

Submit your reflection after you have watched the webinars. You trainer may go through any
clarifications you may have or highlight important parts of the webinar during the lesson.

Virtual Classroom Schedule

1. Please refer to the timetable below for your MS Teams Live Session. Click on the hyperlink ‘Join
Microsoft Teams Meeting’ in order to join the virtual classroom(VC). The trainer/coordinator
will admit you into the classroom.
2. It is also recommended that you log into your VC at least 30 minutes before the start of your
FIRST LESSON so that we can troubleshoot any login issues on the first lesson. For subsequent
lessons, you can login at least 15 minutes before the lesson.

 Trainer will clarify questions that students may have on their Pre-Work Webinar.
 Trainer will teach underlying MO concepts for the lesson.
 Trainer will scaffold answering selected questions on the lesson.
 Students will practise selected questions
 Question-and-Answer (Q&A) Session – Using the Camera, Chat Function or Surveys with MS

 2. Log Out of Microsoft Account
a) Click on https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg
b) Click on the ‘Account Manager’ icon (which consists of your profile name) on the top
right-hand corner of the page.
c) Then click ‘Sign Out’.
d) Then click on any of the hyperlinks above again.

Take Note!

 Please get ready your Math Olympiad student booklet before every lesson.
 Use the latest version of Google Chrome for the ‘live’ session.
