Read the following passage, which was written by Sam. Read the character version or the Pinyin
version first and see how much you can understand. You can read the passage while listening to the

昨天是星期天。天气很热。我七点就起床了。因为我们家要去
河边野餐。妈妈给我们做了早饭。吃了早饭以后我帮助妈妈准
备了午饭。我家离河边很近,走路只要十分钟。弟弟骑小自行
车去了河边。妈妈,爸爸和我走路去了河边。
到了河边以后,我马上到河里游泳。河里有很多小鱼,很好玩。
爸爸带弟弟去钓鱼。他们钓了两个小时,可是什么都没钓到。
午饭我们吃了三明治和苹果。下午我坐在河边看书,弟弟睡
