REMINDERS
- CHECK THE BLOOD PRESSURE BEFORE GIVING THE MEDICINES. If the systolic blood
pressure (above number) is 99 mmHg and below, don’t give either Lisinopril or
Metoprolol.
- Make sure to check the blood sugar an hour after not having food and drinks other
than water. THE INSULIN MUST BE GIVEN BEFORE EATING AND NOT AFTER. If the
result is 69 mg/dl and below, don’t give insulin. Instead, give food and 1 glucose 4
grams tablet. BLOOD SUGAR CAN ALSO BE CHECKED 2 HOURS AFTER MEAL AND
CAN BE USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT WE NEED TO GIVE INSULIN.
