Greetings,

Thank you for agreeing to participate in this usability study and evaluate the coherence of
the instructions attached on how to properly play Uno. If at any time you become too
frustrated to continue, you may quit. Try to think aloud as you are preforming these
activities. I will be taking notes with pen and paper as you work through the instructions
and card game. The test will also be video recorded. Thank you for taking the time and
effort to help me better these instructions.

Test Objectives
 Identify any extraneous or unnecessary information in the instructions.
 Identify any parts of the Uno instructions that need more clarity.
 Identify where visuals are needed.
 Judge the overall organization and accessibility of the instructions.

Test Procedure
The instructions for playing Uno are attached. The instructions should help you easily
understand the card game and its rules. Please use the instructions to

1. Read over the instructions to the game of Uno.


2. Be placed in your group of 3 players and attempt to play a game of Uno.
3. Use a wild card, reverse card, skip card, draw 2 or 4 card if you have received one.
4. Attempt to play the game until there is a winner.

.As you work through these instructions and attempt the game, please remember that
these instructions are not perfect. The goal of this test is to point out the errors and flaws.
Any difficulties you may have are solely due to the instructions and not you. You will
answer some follow up questions after the test.There are some follow up questions on the
next page. Again, thank you so much for your time and feedback.
