Clarithromycin is a semi-synthetic derivative of erythromycin A. It exerts its anti-bacterial action by binding to the 50S ribosomal
sub-unit of susceptible bacteria and suppresses protein synthesis. Clarithromycin demonstrates excellent in vitro activity against
