PROGRAM OUTCOMES The outcomes of the Tertiary Physical Education are:


1. Active and Healthy living. This competency is a means for optimizing movement competence and confidence in a variety of contexts and environments
by building upon the foundation of play, movement- and motor-skills. This will lead to the achievement and maintenance of quality of life through high
level of functionality. It is informed by the biophysical (exercise physiology, biomechanics and motor learning), socio-cultural (history, sociology, cultural
studies) and the behavioral (health promotion and psychology) sciences.
2. Advocacy and Promotion. This competency will enhance students’ understanding and skills to support a positive sense of self, to effectively respond to
life events and transitions and to engage in lifelong learning that promotes health and well-being.

COURSE OUTCOMES At the end of the semester, the students must have:
KNOWLEDGE:
1. acquired knowledge on movement patterns through movement competency training;
2. established the relationship between nutrition and eating habits to health risks factors and physical activity performance;
3. developed physical literacy and its implication to real-life situation; and
4. established gender responsiveness and environmental awareness in a multi-cultural setting.

COURSE DESCRIPTION Laro ng Lahi are indigenous games commonly played by children using locally available implements that aims to instill cultural, social, emotional stability, physical
and motor learning for a student to become healthy, fit and well.
