ASSIGNMENT
Question: Define a and poor good example of any website by using its menu, layout, etc.
Ans: Web design trends are changing all the time, so design principles on the web are really
hard to define, however, there are still golden rules that stand the test of time. I’ve checked
hundreds of sites and discovered several design principles. These include:
• Clean layout
They all clearly indicate that good web design should be using these rules, easy to understand and
easy to use. That is, a good website should provide an excellent user experience.
Example : Theweddinglens
You should always use a responsive design framework, or adopt other better solutions.
Your web page needs to run on mobile smoothly as it does on the website. On this site,
when loading on the mobile phone, it still shows an entire page with such a poor interface
of plaintexts. It does not have a mobile version to view, so it’s unable to use on the phone. I
will just give up on a website like this.
Effective layout architecture begins with the way your homepage is organized.
With a flat and simple layout design, you can deliver the content in a way your audience expects.
But the other pages of your site should be similarly laid out
For example, many websites follow the tried and true Home, About, Services, and Contact as a
basic structure.
Other pages may be included, such as Blog and FAQ, for instance.
Of course, your site may offer a unique menu But you can’t get much simpler than Women, Men,
Kids, Departments, Brands, and Sale.
Keep your menu items simple to understand and you should have an effective website layout
Example : Slack
The Slack web design because of its unique illustrations. You can’t go wrong with custom
graphics. I also like the tagline “Where Work Happens” because it’s creative, but it also
encapsulates the tool’s purpose.
Slack makes it clear what visitors should do. They can sign in or create an account. Here, we
have more navigation options than Dropbox provides, but each contributes to helping
visitors find what they want.
