I. DISCUSSION

On April 9, 2019, we had a discussion with our prof, Mrs. Marilou Orlanda
about the task that we have to do. Our prof said that we have to perform an interpretative
dance by group. After announcing the announcement, she gave us time to brainstorm
with each group members. Our section, IE 1201, was consists of 39 students and we are
divided into two groups. Each group was assigned to perform two categories. The group
1 chose to interpret the song “Tagpuan by Moira dela Torre” and the song “Saranggola ni
Pepe” while the other group chose to interpret the song “You Raised Me Up by Josh
Groban” and “Mamang Sorbetero”

 The most important element being that it typically depicts a story or emotion.
 It comes out of modern dance tradition that began in the early 1900s.
 Along with the movement away from ballet, there was also a movement towards
fitness and using dance in a new ways.
 Using gymnastics and other exercises to develop dance technique became more
acceptable and popular.
 After the presentation of this interpretative dance, they use their remaining time to
