NARRATIVE REPORT ON BENCH MARKING

The San Isidro Teaching Force headed by Sir Roger B. Caña had asked
permission to the PSDS of Hagonoy II District, Sir Roderick Vilan, to undergo bench
marking within the two schools under the Deped Digos City Division. Fortunately, Sir
Vilan gave us the go signal and Sir Roger B. Caña immediately sent letters towards
the two schools that we would be visited. Luckily, the Apolonio Central Elementary
School and Binaton Elementary School warmly accepted our letter of interest to go
and visit their schools.

We were grateful to Mrs. Siganay, our Master Teacher, for the initiation and
had offered free rides for us teachers using her family car as our means of
transportation going to both schools.

Even though the weather was gloomy and it was raining cats and dogs, we
decided to visit the schools for our bench marking last March 31, 2021. The first
school we visited in the morning was the Apolonio Central Elementary School. The
teachers, as well as their principal Mrs. Antonia S. Jumawan, are very accommodating
and friendly towards us. They had explained the things that should be done and what
MOVs should be attached for the requirements of SBMS. We were glad and contented
in our observations and were given tips too by the teachers of the said school. We
went to our next destination full of learning.

Our next destination was the Binaton Elementary School. When we went there,
the school was very quite and we were worried because there are no signs of human
presence. We check the time and maybe teachers went home already because it was
already pass 11:00 a.m. Our worries started to fade when we realized that there are
still teachers inside their classrooms. Only the teachers were able to meet us because
their school principal went to the Digos City Division Office. The teachers are very
friendly too and had given us a lot of information towards our queries. We have
learned a lot in these learning get-away and we hope that we can aim what we wanted
to achieve in the making of our SBMS. We have lot of plans to tackle when we went
back to our school. We were back at 12:00 noon and was truly grateful for Ma’am
Siganay for paying and having us free lunch.
