Scope: Enrichment courses are available to Moorestown students and non-resident students. Specific
information pertaining to course content is included.

Morning Program: 8:30am-11:45am

Session 1- June 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th Afternoon Program: 12:15pm-3:30pm

Session 2- July 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th Full Day Program: 8:30am-3:30pm (11:45am-12:15pm Lunch)

schedule two different classes in the same day and save!

Before and After Camp Care: Before and after camp child care will be offered for an additional fee. Schedule
the care you require around your child’s favorite camp courses! Please refer to the chart below for pricing.

*Students attending the After Camp Care Program should be picked up promptly. Late fees will be charged
beginning at 6:01pm. The fee for late pick up is $20, per child, per 15 minutes. Chronic lateness may result in
student dismissal without a refund.

Registration Information:
Don’t miss out on our early registration discount! Full day and Mix and Match classes are reduced $20 for
participants registered and paid by March 31, 2021. Half day classes are reduced $15 for participants
registered and paid by March 31, 2021!

In-person registration: Bring your completed registration form (p.22) and payment to the Administration
Building, 803 North Stanwick Road, between 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday.

*The Board of Education reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Should this occur,
participants will be notified of any changes in the class offerings via phone or e-mail. If the class is scheduled to
run, there will be no tuition refunded after May 15, 2021. Any classes cancelled by the district will be refunded
in full. Please note convenience fees for online payment are non-refundable.

Transportation: There is no transportation available for the Summer Enrichment Camp. Drop Off and Pick
Up will be drive up only. The assigned time and location for your drop off/pick up window will be
provided.

Code of Behavior:
All students in the Moorestown Summer Enrichment Camp Program should follow all of the policies of
Moorestown Township Public Schools. Students who refuse to abide by these rules will be given one warning
before dismissal from the program. Students dismissed in such cases will not be entitled to a refund of tuition.

Kids in the Kitchen – All The Basics Cooking Camp Incoming: K-6th
Class Meets: Monday-Friday 8:30am-11:45am
This signature-cooking program will lay a solid foundation of cooking skills to last a lifetime.
Children will learn to make healthy snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners for him/herself. This
is a great core-cooking program for children age 5-11 who enjoy cooking or just want to learn some important
kitchen skills and build confidence in the kitchen. Camp also includes nutrition activities and fitness.

Vets in Training Incoming: K-6th


Class Meets: Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Vets in Training is coming to Summer Enrichment Camp! Please join us for the week to explore
the world of veterinary medicine and all things animal! Each day will be a fun and exciting
topic. Some examples are performing veterinary wellness exams, learning pet first aid
techniques, endangered and exotic animals, and grooming. The best part is that we will always be joined by our
VIT animals! You will spend the week learning what it takes to be a vet and care for a variety of animals
through hands-on practice! *Previous VIT participants, please note new content is covered at each VIT
program.

Science Explorers: Loose in the Lab! Incoming: 1st-5th


Class Meets: Monday-Friday AM-8:30am-11:45am; PM-12:15pm-3:30pm OR Full Day
Science Explorers has compiled our favorite camp experiments into this week-long science adventure! In the
morning sessions you’ll make a groovy lava lamp test tube, mix up chemical reactions, erupt a volcano, make
chalkboard and fluffy slime, build a solar oven to make treats, launch pompoms with your own catapult, create
your own motorized invention, make a foaming “matter monster”, and go on a fossil dig.

Then, stay for the afternoon as we mix up “sunny slime” that reacts to UV light, get loud as we make clucking
cups and musical chimes, build spin art machines, blast off film canister rockets, make sun prints, create acid
and base art, experiment with the unique properties of water, and make fizzy bath poppers and fizzing CO2
reactions. For ages 7-11 (formerly known as Greatest Hits and Mix It Up camps).

Taught by Moorestown High School Theater director, this course encourages an appreciation of
musicals by learning about theater in general with a focus on a popular Disney Broadway production
(e.g. “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins”). A typical day consists of singing and
dancing as well as stories, short Broadway/movie clips, and a craft. The week will culminate in an informal
performance of learned material for family/friends. (Different material will be used each week, so students are
welcomed/encouraged to sign up for multiple weeks.)

Care of Magical Creatures: A Harry Potter-Themed Art Camp! Incoming 2nd-5th

Students in this art camp will create beautiful masterpieces featuring magical and fantastic creatures
from Harry Potter and beyond. Students will use a variety of materials and techniques including
sculpture, clay, paint, oil and chalk pastels, and definitely GLITTER to create dragons, castles, unicorns,
fairies, gnomes, and more. Come create a magical world of art with us!

Macramé with Me Incoming 3rd-7th


Class Meets: Monday-Friday 8:30am-11:45am
Macramé is a form of knotting, similar to weaving. Each day we will create new projects to take home
with yarn, twine and beads. The projects we will create may include: friendship bracelets, key chains,
dream catchers, plant hangers and an owl wall art hanging. Students will master the art of the square knot as
well as various combination of half-hitches to create fun projects to take home.

Spanish is Fun! Incoming 3rd-7th

Spanish is Fun! Would you like to learn more Spanish? What about fun facts about Spanish
culture? Come join our class and practice your Español through song, games, dance, dialogue
and online resources.

A Splash of Art with Creative Craft Incoming 4th-6th

Are you ready for some summer fun? This will be an adventurous week filled with exciting, creative, and
unique arts and craft projects. Projects will include a water fountain Zen garden, a galaxy deep space pour on
canvas or open cup girl-power galaxy, and much more! Join this class to let your creative and talented spirit
shine through in your designs!

Board Game Battles Incoming 5th-9th

We will learn and play a wide variety of both common and untraditional board games. Some
games are cooperative and you have to work together as a team to win. In other board games, you will have to
watch out because there are traitors and spies! Finally, we will also play games where everyone is just out for
their own interest. Come join the fun of Board Game Battles!

Jr. Scientists will get loose in the lab exploring awesome hands-on science! They’ll investigate their way
through different states of matter, create foaming, fizzing reactions, make a rainbow test tube, concoct glowing
slime, mix up the best bubble solution ever, go on a fossil safari, and erupt their own volcano. Half Day Only
for ages 4-6.

Who doesn’t love to bake? In this class we will examine baking goodies from cakes to muffins, cookies
and even pizza! Each day will feature delicious treats – all prepared using healthy ingredients! Kids will learn baking
skills and enjoy their creations! This camp also features nutrition activities!

Life is a Garden, Dig In! Incoming K-6th

Let’s have summer fun exploring nature and learning about gardening. Delve into your artistic
side as we make DIY Bird Feeders, venture on a Nature Scavenger Hunt and preserve nature discoveries
with a collage. Design your own Rock Gnome. You’ll also create your own personal Fairy Garden that you can
bring home and enjoy. 

NASA – STEM Explorers Sorry, this class is full!

Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for Space Exploration and Innovation!
Inspired by the NASA OPTIMUS PRIME Promotion and Research Challenge (NASA OPSPARC), we’ll take a
voyage of discovery to the atmosphere & beyond as we explore planets, moons, & space phenomena! Think
and act like NASA innovators as we collaborate and design a mission patch, train like astronauts, and solve
real-world engineering problems. Investigate unique flying machines and build balloon copters, boomerangs &
mini hovercrafts. We’ll even build our own rockets and blast them into the air!
Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA!

Spring into a medley of scientific subjects and learn about the Earth and its animal inhabitants,
simple machines, rocketry, flight, and chemical reactions; there’s something for everyone! There’s
so much in store, it’s simply Sensational!

Fun with Fiber Arts Incoming 2nd- 5th
Class Meets: 12:15pm-3:30pm
Come learn how to create beautiful masterpieces using all things fiber, including cloth, pom poms, felt, yarn,
and many more. In this class students will learn basic sewing stitches, and will learn several styles of weaving.
Students will create felt pillows, embroidery, and even some abstract art!

summer I can help you get that done! Have your child join us for some summertime crafting fun! If your kids
love to craft, they’ll have a blast!

participants as they share their love of Star Wars and find a new appreciation for one of our culture’s
most popular and important stories. Activities include Star Wars-based stories/writing, games, art, and

Jr. Naturalist Incoming K-5th


Class Meets: Monday-Friday 8:30am-11:45am
Unleash your inner Naturalist as we explore our favorite critters that share the world around us (and maybe even
our own backyard)! Construct a wooden birdhouse to take home and learn how birds and beasts catch their
prey! Flow through the food chain and dissect an owl pellet! Look for clues animals leave behind as we
examine animal tracks and make our own out of plaster. Build a bug house for your favorite creepy crawly &
examine it up close! At the end of the day, our Junior Naturalists will be excited to share not only what they

We will be taking a culinary trip around the world learning about and preparing foods from five different countries!
Delicious and healthy dishes from Italy, China, Mexico and more are just a few of the countries on the menu. The kids
will be learning what makes up the cuisines from each country as well as the skills necessary to prepare the dishes. This
camp also features nutrition activities!

Vets in Training is coming to Summer Enrichment Camp! Please join us for the week to explore
the world of veterinary medicine and all things animal! Each day will be a fun and exciting
topic. Some examples are performing veterinary wellness exams, learning pet first aid
techniques, endangered and exotic animals, and grooming. The best part is that we will always be joined by our
VIT animals! You will spend the week learning what it takes to be a vet and care for a variety of animals
through hands-on practice! *Previous VIT participants, please note new content is covered at each VIT

Join me for an introduction to cooking. Get ready for a delicious and educational camp. We will create Fruit
Rainbow Pizzas, make ice cream in a bag, and test out No Bake summer recipes! Learn to make your own
healthy energy bites and yummy smoothies. Practice counting and spelling with pretzels. Enjoy some summer
fun with friends creating your own mini Jell-O Aquariums and Sand pudding. Remember that “Good food,
leads to a good mood”. Let’s eat! 

An Under-The-Sea Art Adventure! Incoming 2nd-5th

Students will not only learn about aquatic animals that live in a variety of underwater environments, but will
create projects that illustrate all of the amazing animals that they learn about! Students will use a variety of
materials and techniques including paint, collage, clay, and plaster, just to name a few. Come ready to explore
and create in this ocean adventure of an art camp!

Is there a doctor in camp? Join us this summer as we bring Mini Med
School to camp! Our little doctors will use stuffed animal patients to
take blood pressure readings, give “stitches,” put on a cast and make their own first aid
kit, all while learning lots about what doctors, dentists, EMTs and other medical professionals do on a
daily basis. Join us in this fun filled camp.

Little Geniuses- Pre-School Chess Ages: 3-5; Incoming Pre-K-1st

Little Geniuses is a chess-song singing, laughing, chess-tourney, dancing, chess clock-slapping, zany
chess video, puppet show introduction to chess and being the smart kid in class. Only for kids ages 3-5, Little
Geniuses puts on a high-energy chess practice in which kids play chess and compete! Children look forward to
each day’s activity! Students will find our developmentally targeted, infectiously fun thinking activities
compelling, exhilarating, and extremely gratifying.

Musical Theater Workshop Incoming Pre-K-2nd


Class Meets: 12:15pm-3:30pm
Taught by Moorestown High School Theater director, this course encourages an appreciation of musicals
by learning about theater in general with a focus on a popular Disney Broadway production (e.g. “Beauty and
the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins”). A typical day consists of singing and dancing as well as
stories, short Broadway/movie clips, and a craft. The week will culminate in an informal performance of
learned material for family/friends. (Different material will be used each week, so students are
welcomed/encouraged to sign up for multiple weeks.)

This brand new camp is a book club and cooking camp! We are going to read the really fun
book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and then each day we will prepare a sampling of the foods that rain
down on the town of Chewandswallow! With a focus on healthy ingredients and nutrition activities, we will
have a fun week cooking up our own storm of yummy foods! Each camper will be provided with their own
copy of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

A Splash of Art with Creative Craft Incoming 1st – 3rd

Are you ready for some summer fun? This will be an adventurous week filled with exciting,
creative, and unique arts and craft projects. Students will make colorful canvas 3D floral art,
whimsical paper wind chimes, decorative art vases with paper- flower bouquet arrangements, a
canvas flower pour and much more! Join this class to let your creative and talented spirit shine through in your
designs!

Final Frontiers: Sea and Space Incoming: 1st-5th


Class Meets: Monday-Friday AM-8:30am-11:45am; PM-12:15pm-3:30pm OR Full Day
Each morning, explore the mysterious realms of sea and space as you enter the exciting worlds of marine
biology and astronomy! Dive in and examine weird wonders of the sea, observe the anatomy of a real fish and
learn the ancient technique of gyotaku or “fish rubbing”, and discover the ocean’s living fossils. Then blast off
to discovering space and stars as you make an out-of-this-world solar system model, prepare for lift-off as you
build and launch your own stomp rocket while learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion, complete a mission to
Moon, and design and build a space capsule that will safely bring your “eggstronaut” in for a landing.
Then, stay for the afternoon as we come back down to earth. Transform polymers into a rainbow of color,
investigate the properties of light when you build a kaleidoscope, explore the concept of density
as you create a colorful density tower, build a metal detector to identify conductors, demonstrate how air
pressure can lift objects and make them fly, and conduct a powder analysis lab. For ages 7-11.

Chess Camp has a fun and friendly spirit and is a great way to keep the brain sharp during the
summer while having a real blast! Chess Camp is a super-fun, high-energy chess experience in which
kids ages 5-12 celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, music-driven puzzlers for prizes, colorful
silicone Tactixbands, funny movies, and chess clock tourneys in which the winner gets the loser's Mardi-Gras
beads! Laughter, fast-clocks, and compelling teaching approaches make this camp the summer's highlight.

Handcrafted Menorah Gift Kit Incoming 5th-10th

Students will make a handcrafted Menorah Gift Kit. They will be decorating /painting, drilling & gluing the
Menorah and hand dipping all 44 candles using pure golden beeswax. As time permits, the class will also create
decorations for their next Sukkot.
