To whom it may concern:

My name is Sanam Shekarchi, and I am writing this letter on behalf of Ms. Damaris Aguila. I have had the pleasure of
working closely with Ms. Aguila for the 2020-2021 school year as her mentor teacher. If I was to open a school of my
own and choose any teacher, I would without hesitation, choose Ms. Aguila as one of my Biology teachers. Her
outstanding work ethic, her professionalism, her dedication to learning and growing, and her commitment to teaching has
shown me that she is a teacher who I would be proud to call my colleague.

Ms. Aguila has been my student teacher for the entirety of this school year. Despite the unique circumstances that this
school year has brought forth, Ms. Aguila has always been flexible, hardworking, and has navigated this strange distance
learning and hybrid environment with the ease and grace of a tenured educator. I sometimes forget that Ms. Aguila has
been teaching for a brief period of time, as she teaches with the confidence of someone who has taught for many years. I
am certain that Ms. Aguila will excel in any teaching environment, as she has proven that she can easily push through any
difficult circumstance.

During her time with me at Beckman High School, Ms. Aguila has built a strong rapport with her students. She is
well-liked and respected by them and her students enjoy her lessons. Ms. Aguila is always organized and prepared for her
classes. Her students always know what to expect from her and there is never any confusion about what is asked of them.
Ms. Aguila creates an environment where students feel safe and comfortable to share their ideas, thoughts and questions.
It is a pleasure to watch Ms. Aguila engage her students in various activities and lessons and to watch her students light up
with excitement. Ms. Aguila is very well-versed in the G-suite applications and she is no stranger to technology. She has
created numerous digital, interactive activities and simulations for her students so that they can still have a “hands-on”
science experience. Her lessons are challenging yet appropriate for students of all abilities. Ms. Aguila is extremely
creative and finds new and innovative ways to engage her students.

It is with great sadness that I will have to say goodbye to Ms. Aguila after this school year. I strongly recommend Ms.
Aguila for any teaching position. Any school would be fortunate to have a teacher of Ms. Aguila’s caliber. Not only is Ms.
Aguila hardworking and determined, but she is kind, compassionate and a caring individual. Ms. Aguila is going to be the
teacher who leaves a positive impact on all of her students. She is the teacher who will make a difference in her students’
lives. She is the teacher who will leave a lasting impression on anyone who is lucky enough to be in her classroom.

I look forward to hearing the exciting news that Ms. Aguila will be teaching at this school district. I am confident that she
will prove to be a valuable member of your district’s faculty. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at

Sincerely,

Ms. Sanam Shekarchi
