As part of the University’s budget deficit reduction measures, pay reductions are
being implemented for professional/administrative and externally funded
professional/administrative staff for fiscal year 2021. Pay reductions will be
effective beginning with the first pay period of the FY 2021, which begins on July
1, 2020, and will continue through the last pay period of 2021 which ends on June
30, 2021. The percentage of pay reductions is based on salary ranges (please
see chart below).

Specifically, the ACE and APAS memberships overwhelming agreed to the

implementation of twenty-six (26) furlough days for the fiscal year 2021 (July 1,
2020-June 30, 2021).
To account for the twenty-six furlough days, employees’ hourly pay
rates/salaries will be reduced by 10%.
