Introduction
Invention that gets out in to the world is innovation. The term innovation may refer to
both radical and incremental changes in thinking, in things, in processes or in services.
Often, innovation is confused with other concepts as invention and creativity.
Invention is the first occurrence of an idea for a new product or process, while
innovation is the first attempt to carry it out into practice. Innovation occurs when
someone uses an invention or an idea to change how the world works, how people
organize themselves, or how they conduct their lives.
Innovation typically involves creativity, but is not identical to it: innovation involves
acting on the creative ideas to make some specific and tangible difference in the domain
in which the innovation occurs. For innovation to occur, something more than the
generation of a creative idea or insight is required: the insight must be put into action to
make a genuine difference, resulting for example in new or altered business processes
within the organization, or changes in the products and services provided. Creativity
implies coming up with ideas, innovation is bringing those ideas to life. That makes
innovation the distinct undertaking it is.
This project involves the introducing, settling and improving the innovation basis in the
European University in every field possible. Since innovation is vital in one company´s
life, and Business Schools can be seen as a company with customers as students and
products/services as studies they offer, EU should take promising steps to implement
the phases in its own body.
This report involves the probable methods to introduce and implement the innovation
in EU. The strategies can be seen as a whole to serve for the image of innovation of EU
and it might be seen as a start of a continuing process.
The innovation process of EU could be thought as parts of a whole linking together. The
courses will guide the way to associate with companies, municipalities and innovation
centers. The real innovation projects will bridge the way to film real innovative videos
of EU both in EU Website and EU YouTube Channel. The Innovation Awards and EU
Innovation Club will motivate people and at the same time increase the prestige of EU.
All these will combine to create the image of EU, A Business School of Innovation.
Seminars/Webinars of Innovation in the EU Website
The Idea
● Organizing Innovation Seminars with the most innovative people in business
both locally and internationally.
● Two options of posting on the web are seen probable
○ Posting the seminars as webinars (part or full version)
○ Posting the interviews of innovation made with these people
The Organization
● For each campus of EU, there could be staff assigned to find (preferably locals
because of ease of reachability and expenses) innovative, experienced and open
people who are able to express their thoughts and willing to help educate people.
● As the elimination process finishes in each campus, there could be interviews
held with each innovator person for the EU website and YouTube EU Channel.
● Then, the seminar could be held during the semester with early innovation case
studies before the seminar and case study during the seminar and mini project
after the seminar (preferably real life project)
Benefits
● For students, it will be an eye opening experience with regards to their
experience of real introduction to innovation. (Everyone talks about something
called innovation, but what is it really and how do you achieve a hands-on
experience, developing the real intuitive feeling)
● For EU, it will be extremely beneficial for growing values and image since
innovation is clearly one of the most important growth reasons for companies
and also individuals in today´s competitive environment. EU can use this fact
as a value of growth and image opportunity. Hence, EU will become innovative
by giving extreme importance to innovation itself starting with the innovative
professionals taking part in the process.
● Website will be original, active with different webinars/interviews with
promising professional innovative intellectuals most importantly gaining EU an
image of innovativeness itself. (a part of the innovative image of EU)
Costs
● Two options are seen possible for arranging the Professional to give seminars
○ Through personal relationships and helping students grow and giving
the chance the professionals to share their ideas with students and other
people, honoring them with certain titles.
○ Paying a fix amount for seminars (the fee will include webinars and
interviews). This is for students and education of young people.
● Programming cost for the video application on the EU website.

Innovating the City of the Campus by EU students in collaboration with the Municipality
The Idea

others. All cities have many ways to innovate and this can be used as an opportunity for both the
students and city to create innovative values.
The Organization

The key questions could be to ask:
● What have been their innovative projects in the recent years?

● What do they need mostly? What are their problems?
● Then more research input can be entered to the project by making field trips and making
focus groups for the city innovation development.
● Then a semester long project can be held with the faculty, students and staff of the
municipality with all the tools of the city open to the students during the project.
● A real life end result can be achieved, realized aiming efficiency of work and costs.
The Benefits
● The city will highly benefit from creative innovations.
● The students will benefit from gaining experience, adding value to their CVs and
probable job positions /internships after the projects.

which will take an important role of completing the image of Innovative Business
School of EU.
The Costs
● No foreseen costs. It will fully be funded by the municipality and in return, EU will
offer the students´ labor and innovative projects that reach spectacular results.
The Idea
The idea is to connect students, faculty, and management of EU with outside people by the
help of Innovation Centers. By using their tools and methods of innovation creation, innovation
centers can be vital for EU to implement its innovation goals.
