ETHICAL PRINCIPLES IN SIKHISM
What is SIKHISM?
Sikhism is a faith whose followers are called "Sikhs".
The word Sikh means Student or Discipline. Their holy book is the Sri Guru
Granth Sahib Ji.
Sikhism was brought to the world around 1469 by Guru Nanak Dev, the first
of the "Ten Gurus".
An estimated 28 million people are followers of Sikhism, which then makes it
the fifth largest religion in the world. A popular place where this religion is
practiced is in Asia & America. Sikhs are usually identified by
the Turban (which Sikhs call a Dastaar or Pagri), distinctive headgear which
could be worn by both men and women.
ETHICAL PRINCIPLES
5 EVILS
The religion of Sikhism discusses 5 evil that can destroy the
community.
These are
(1) Anger ( to avoid rage and antagonism)
(2) Ego (not to be self centered and arrogant)
(3) Greed (not to impatient, miser, selfish)
(4) Attachment (not to attach to worldly things)
(5) Lust (to control emotions for opposite gender)

Must think for goodwill of all
Must think of doing goodness to mass level of people
Must benefit others
WAHEGURU
Submission to the will of GOD.
Must listen to what is directed by GOD
Must not go against what has been instructed by the GOD
