The title for this article is Ethical Leadership: The Effect on Employees written by Atiya

Alshammari , Naser N. Almutairi and Shebaib Fahad Thuwaini. In this article, the
author highlights the influence that ethical leadership behavior has on the
performance, efficiency and productivity of employees. This research paper examines
the influence that ethical leadership behavior has on the efficiency, and productivity of
employees. The paper will address the interplay between ethical leadership with
competencies, determination, job satisfaction and motivation in addressing the
performance of the organization. From what we learn, ethical leadership can create an
ethical culture. Leaders in organization have the power to motivate others and enforce
the organization’s norms, policies, and viewpoints.

In this article, the author had highlights that ethical leadership can effect the
employees. The principles, beliefs and values of the right and wrong characterize the
foundation of organizational behavior, thereby formulating the pedestal upon which
the leaders influence employees in achieving the goals of the organization (Al-sharafi
& Rajiani, 2013). From Business Ethics study, leadership is the ability or authority to
guide others toward a goal. In this article, we can see that the author are trying to
explain about the effect in performance of organizational was depends on leaders. The
strategies that leaders use in communication, decision making, and handle conflicts
can bring a good ethical among employees. As a result, the ethical leadership
component should emphasis fundamental ideals and justice in decision-making while
considering the effect those decisions would have on the organization. This means that
clear communication with employees is essential in order to create a structure for
ensuring employees' work and how it leads to the organization's progress.

What I like about this article is the authors discussed in detail about ethical
leadership to make readers easy to understand what the topic about. Authors make an
analysis in definition, development, pattern, and core function of ethical leadership in
this article. It make readers have the knowledge about ethical leadership instead
knowing only the effect towards employees. However, after reading the whole article,
I notice that the discussion about the effect of ethical leadership towards employees
was less discussed in this article while the title was “Ethical Leadership: The Effect on
Employees”. The author had discussed communication and decision making can built
a strong relationship between leader, employees, and public sector with two way
communication and decision making. However, there have four categories of
communication skill which is interpersonal communication, small group
communication, nonverbal communication, and listening that can be used to elaborate
more about this article.

The distinctive pattern of ethical leadership need embody and articulate the
purpose of organizational value. Ethical leadership should identify and act on the lever
that increases the loyalty of the employees, their loyalty and channel it to driving
organizational success. It is clear that chief executive officers in the contemporary
companies must be role models for ethical business leadership in the entire society.
The goal is to focus on the organizational success as well as the personal ego is a key
dimension for ethical leadership in understanding their place in the network of
stakeholders and constituents. The CEO should emphasis on something bigger than
their person as individuals. This is notably the dreams, goals and goals of the
organization. The leader should pay special attention to developing the best people
resource in the organization.

In a nutshell, ethical leadership in organizational management is a

conceptualization of positive relationship that potentially exist on the backdrop of
moral values, obligations of leaders and expectation of associated leadership factors.
The contemporary expectations of public leaders are morally responsible and serve
in the contribution of a wider environment in which the principles of ethical leadership
are examined. It is evident that ethical leadership affects the performance of
organizations in all areas including moral, successes, and work ethic. The challenges
that leaders face are adaptive and serve to create a resolute opportunity needed for
integrating transactional and transformational elements of leadership, says the study.
In this respect, it is clear that the capacity of the leader to establish a strategic
component of early ethical maturity toward influencing the followers in order to allow
them to seek success and performance efficiency in the organization depends on the
ability of the leader to develop a strategic component of early ethical maturity towards
influencing the followers in order to enable them to pursue success and performance
efficiency in the organization. Buble (2012) outlines that in the current global
marketplace, organizations have been experiencing disconnect between the beliefs of
the leaders and the actions.
